CHAPTER 10 (Imperial Land)

Azure and Amethyst are now in the vast land; it smells of grass and fertile land. The air is fresh, and the weather is also perfect for good training. The sun was slightly shady but bright; it seemed like they were also in the real world.
"Basic avoidance using your feet, Amethyst," he said pointing Amethyst two feet covered by her two metallic boots.
"How?" Amethyst asked.
"Let me show you,"
"Hit me using your long chain here in my feet..." he commanded, pointing to his feet.
"What if you get hurt?" she's worried.
"It's not going to happen."
"Okay,"
She slightly moved away from Azure. Her weapon was too long, so she wrapped the end of her long chain slightly in her hand. Amethyst released the gushing end of her long chain onto Azure's foot.
Azure jumps freely into the air. It quickly escaped using its strength and balance. It landed a bit farther from where he was standing earlier. His right foot is backward while his left foot is slightly forward and his body slightly bent.
"Woah! your jump is high. How did that happen?"
Azure approached the place where Amethyst was standing.
"Basically, that is part of our skills," he said.
"Try to jump," he suggested.
Amethyst try to jumped as he said. It felt light when jumped, as if she had freedom in the body because her jump was higher than the normal jump.
"You're right, it's lighter, and easier to jump," she amazed.
"That's part of the game," Azure's exclaimed
Again they continued to practice the basic techniques they could use in battle. From avoiding attacks and how to attack the opponent.
Barely avoiding attacks through minimal effort is in order to show that the character in question is far more skilled than normal combatants. It’s not meant to be realistic because they are inside the virtual world.
Mage armor is very important for their defenses; even the metallic part of their character suit is minimal because of their orientation towards intellect and magic there is not much chance for strength to develop. So they wear mages' robes that not only are light to carry but many of them also have magic powers which boost mages' abilities.
Meanwhile, fighters like Azure are strong; they can carry heavy armor, which can withstand a great amount of damage. As novice they carry heavier leather, but as they become stronger, they become able to equip chain-mail and plate armor.
Their training ends by dodge attack; in dodge attack, all you need to do is make sure your body isn't where the attack is going.
After training, they both lay on the wide and windy lawn because they were tired from their first training.
"Let's practice again tomorrow on how to use your weapon."
"Sure, I never thought I would enjoy it." Amethyst smiled.
Amethyst now looking at the great sky. A quiet, pleasant sky, as if taking you to a place where your whole body relaxes while staring at it. There are also many mountains here and trees that surround the spacious lawn where they now lie.
"Good, that just means you learn very well." he turned to her.
Amethyst smiled "You are as good at teaching."
"You'll also hone your skills," he said smiled.
Only the middle ground on this grateful land matter, a beautiful breeze passed, their hologram exactly appeared. They were alarmed, so they both stood up from lying down.
There are many sheltered trees, but it is nice to rest in that vast land.
A short hud sound filled their ears as the hologram popped up. So far their first task came out.
Players find the missing lady wearing a long red gown in Imperial land and you will gain five points — creator task.
"Missing lady?" Amethyst said.
"A woman in a red gown, hmm," Azure wondered.
The task seems familiar to him, but it is also difficult to compare his previous knowledge to the present because his own body will be moved, while before only his hands and mind were working. Here in the virtual world almost everything will function from the mind, to the action, and to the deed.
They searched for the location of the Imperial land using the map in their hologram. It was just behind the mountain where they were so it can be traced easily.
They traveled the path early towards the Imperial land. They did not feel tired because of the beauty and ambiance of this fascinating mountain. They also passed many birds, mostly their hoatzin birds — Azure remembered his father because he loved hoatzin and other species of birds.
The sun's rays were clear and bright, and it penetrated to the leaves of the tree.
"The wind here is amazing, Azure," she smiled and turned to him while still walking.
"Look, there are many butterflies flying," she pointed the butterflies flying towards the flowers.
Azure smiled and also looked around at the beautiful craggy mountain.
"This place is really weird, but exquisite," Azure said.
"Yes, there is no trace of deforestation here." Amethyst exclaimed.
Amethyst was fascinated by the little butterflies that perch on the purple flowers around them. It was as if she had entered the book she was reading.
"It's fascinating here, whoever made this game, it's great," he complimented.
Amethyst glowed at Azure's eyes as her light-blue hair glistened. Even the woman with him was amazingly beautiful, and this amazing virtual world is almost half to be true.
They spent three hours training and two hours walking until they reached the Imperial land. The two-storey gatehouse with its battlemented roof would have made a powerful statement about the strength of the Imperial gate. It has turrets at each corner–higher on the north front–with large pinnacles. The north front is the most richly decorated, with flint work panels and ornamented niches for statues.
The gatehouse is principally built of flint and brick with limestone dressings, though Roman and medieval brick has been used at the back of the building. It consists of a gate hall and a porter’s lodge. There is a pedestrian gate alongside the main carriage entrance.
Azure was about to catch Amethyst's jaw, which was about to fall because she was shocked to see the entire Imperial castle from outside. The Roman period seems to be back.
Azure slightly chuckled seeing her face.
"Why are you laughing?" Amethyst asked.
"Nothing, you're cute," he excused.
She raised her eyebrow at him and frowned. She knew that Azure was teasing her again.
"Look at this place, million is not enough to pay for what we see now. It looks like the game itself brought us in this roman time," Amethyst explained.
If she could just bring a camera or any gadget to take pictures of this place, she would definitely do it.
Azure confronted her "We will excel in this game so we can reach the end… Amethyst,"
"Sure, I will try to improve myself here, so we can do that." Amethyst smiled.
It smiled slightly because of what Amethyst said.
"I know you can, you also learn quickly." he flattered.
Azure looked closely at the Imperial gate — The Imperial guard was a bit more complicated, because five guards defended the gate.
It is rare for players to enter here because only Imperial servants and citizens of the Imperial land can enter there besides those who are superior.
"There are many soldiers at the gate." Azure said.
"What are we going to do?"she asked.
Azure looked around, all he could see were rocks, trees, and plants and the huge gatehouse in front of them. He signals Amethyst to hide in a boulder rock near them. It would be difficult for them if the soldier caught them.
Azure made plans to wait for the next carriage that brought food or anything inside the Imperial land. He did not make any single mistake because a carriage passed by.
They seemed to be lucky at that moment.
Their bodies are slightly bent so that no one can see them.
"Hey, Amethyst," he turned to her.
"The carriage stopped," she noticed.
"You also notice? — that carriage will bring us inside." he said.
" Huh? Why?"
"The person in the carriage was alone,"
"Yeah, I see, and?" she's confused.
"The last wheel of the carriage will hit the rock so it will turn slightly and the horse will stop." he explained.
"I know what you're thinking, Azure," she said.
Amethyst just quickly got its plan.
"In that case, ready yourself," he said.
Amethyst nodded just a few seconds before the wheel perfectly hit the rock they looked around before running towards the inside of the carriage. The carriage was fully covered, so it is very safe for them to hide inside.
Amethyst took a deep breath as they entered and sat down inside. They had no difficulty entering the Imperial land, even though many more soldiers were on guard.
The medieval marketplace showed up with them. When the carriage they were riding in, entered inside.
