Remington's POV- Once I was left alone, I fell back onto the forest floor. I hadn't realized how emotionally exhausted I had become lately, not until I felt the forest thrive within me. It was like a person, filled with her own emotions, as I talked with her. I sunk my fingers and toes into the decaying leaves and moss, seeking her comfort. I suppose she was seeking mine as well. I found the thread again, this time sending a pulse of energy filled with my fears and worries. I felt the vines creeping over me, acting as the barrier I needed to the outside world. I had quickly become overwhelmed with my problems, and wrapped underneath the vines I felt as though I could let them go, if only for the moment.
