Dylan was running late, and he was in trouble big time. He understood that his work needed more time from him, but he had been missing spending time with Vincent, Not that Vincent didn't understand what it took to be an ER doctor but the fact that the time away from each other had made them both grumpy and snappy at each other. Apparently only Jack was the one who could help in getting the both to calm down when they got into a silly argument about work. Dylan cared a lot about Vincent and his relationship. He didn't want it to go to waste.
Dylan walked out of the hospital and saw Vincent waiting for him, leaning against his car. Damn. The way he was leaning made Dylan's heart skip a beat. In a soft black sweater and black dress pants with charcoal boots and a single flash of silver being Vincent's watch, he looked smoking hot. Dylan gulped and walked to him. He smiled at Vincent who just turned around and opened the door for Dylan. Dylan ignored the no conversational silence and got into the car. The smell of freshly baked donuts wafted in the air and Dylan turned to find a few boxes of Donuts sitting in the back seat.
"You can't eat them yet." Vincent said getting inside the car, fastening his seat belt. "Why not?" Vincent looked at Dylan with a different expression. it wasn't anger or rage. it was something definitely darker than Dylan knew. "You're getting something else." Vincent said while reversing his car. Dylan just looked at Vincent, he was afraid to ask the question looming in the silence. "What?" He dared against his will. Vincent stayed calm and silent as he pulled out on the road and drove towards his place.
"Spanks"
"Wh-what?"
Vincent looked at Dylan, his eyes were as cold as the Arctic and his silence was even colder. Dylan simply turned in his seat and stared outside at the passing scenery. It was getting darker and hence he was getting bored. Secretly inside his heart was beating over 100 times per minute and all the blood in his body had seemed to rush on his face. Vincent slowed down a little and it still gave Dylan goosebumps. He reached over and behind and then there was that box of donuts on Dylan's lap. The silence was getting colder.
"Vin...what's wrong?" Dylan asked stammering and terrified out of his wits. A few minutes past and Dylan observed Vincent's shoulders shaking abruptly. A beat passed and Vincent burst out laughing. Dylan was super confused at the moment but then slowly he understood why the person next to him was laughing like it was his last laugh. Vincent breathed a gallon of air and tried to stop himself. He then peeked a look at Dylan and started laughing again. "You... should've...seen...yo-your face..." He spoke between a few gulps of air. Dylan huffed and completely turned in his seat ignoring Vincent.
