Vincent~ Vincent was now driving their party to his house. He looked in the rear-view mirror and found all three of them sleeping upon each other, he smiled. They had a bad run in and Dylan was intelligent enough to call Vincent and the plan had worked out beautifully. Vincent planned on to calling his detective friend and ask him about things. He wanted to make sure that they were okay and that they never gat attacked again. He drove them down to the outskirts of the city to a very old but well managed home belonging to Vincent's Mother. It was a beautifully restored Victorian mansion right out of the Elizabethan era, Big but cozy enough to make it seem like a perfect home. It was very secluded as Vincent did not want anything remotely modern near it, so he had went and bought the surrounding land which massed to acres. Vincent had very well planned and had also installed a vineyard and their own kitchen garden which was at the moment blooming with all kinds of fresh vegetables. He had also included a small flower garden and he had built something special in the garden which was situated in the woods. Vincent was pretty eager to show this place to Dylan but judging by the last two hours he was also excited to have new friends. For the first time in his life he was opening up a part of himself that he had kept secretive all these years. A part that was the real him and the part of him especially Dylan deserved to know. Since it was pretty far he still had along way to drive but he was calm and collected. He softly hummed while driving and refreshed the reminiscence of the best past week. Vincent's mother had left this house in Vincent's belongings. With that she had also left a small cassette. It was more of a Walkman like he had begged to get but couldn't because of their financial conditions of that time. Though Vincent had never played that Walkman, he wasn't as brave as to play it alone. He thought that maybe since Dylan was now with him, it would be easier for Vincent to go through that lane of memory again. He was all over excited now. He hadn't been in this house since forever, he surely as hell had never stayed in this place for more than a few hours let alone a full night and maybe more if Dylan liked it. They weren't far from the house now. Vincent slowed down and rolled down the window, the sweet, cold and fresh nightly air blessed Vincent's skin and his thoughts. It was better than being in air condition anyways. He remembered that he and his mom when they had gotten their first car had taken a trip into the woods just like this. Opening their windows and let the music blast through and just cruising from the jungle. Fun times. Vincent didn't know how dukan would react over this. but he was sure that he would love the house. The house where Vincent had grown up, where his grandparents had grown old. The house where his mother had retired and the house which she had left to Vincent as her inheritance. Vincent felt blessed whenever he thought about the house. When his grandparents had moved, they had gotten this land and then had build on it at that time. With time and multiple renovations which were passed by generations and generations Vincent's mom was the last one who had been the authentic line blood of a Carter. As happy and excited as Vincent was he also felt really anxious. As it was after a long time he was visiting a place that had been very sacred all because It was that terrifying feeling you have as you tightly hold the covers over you with the knowledge that there is something hiding in your heart which is possibly worse than any other fear you have ever encountered and it's not because you're not able to come over it, it was because you couldn't face it in the first half of your life as you were too scared of the guilt that you were carrying of not mentioning that you were with that person when that person needed you the most. . You want to look, but you don't at the same time. You're frozen with fear and despair and you are unable to make any decisions on your own, and you spiral into something that is highly unhealthy but there's no other way to escape it. There's only one and one way. Which is to drown. Which is to let it all go and get the biggest jump scare of your life because that's what's really going to help you.
