Flames

230 Words
Michael was on a round when a news broadcasting on a television in a patient's room caught his eye. A two floored complex goes up in flames due to a shot circuit in the main frame of the building. Michael recognised the complex almost immediately. The next headline was even more worrying than the last one. Seven dead bodies presumed all male have been pulled out of the now almost destroyed building. "Seven?" Michael whispered. It was unusual, because it was the same complex where Michael had been fame kidnapped by Orion's men and he was sure he had heard six voices in the room. Orion was definitely the seventh. Michael felt his spirits sink as they went on and on about the details of the fire. He turned to the patient who was also watching the news, but with a blatant expression. He obviously didn't know anyone there. His reaction should've been the same as him. Nonchalant. Orion... those deep honey eyes flashed in his mind, their last conversation... the interwining of his fingers with Michael's. It was making Michael restless. He rushed off to his cabin and typed a text, "Is he dead?" The text read. A full minute later the reply came in, which made Michael's condition even worse. "Maybe." Michael felt the ground sweep beneath his feet, and not in a good way. His heart lurched.
