“Let the execution begin” Ralph voice thundered.
“How about the trial?” one of the guards asked.
“They would be no need for that. She was the only one who was neither at home nor at the field when the rogue attacked. What other evidence do we need?” “She is the culprit, proceed with the execution.”
“What is going on here?” a loud voice screamed.
“Mum” Aurora whimpered inaudibly.
Daciana launched forward, tugging on the hem of Ralph's clothes. “Why is my daughter tied up?”
Ralph brushed her off roughly, ignoring Daciana, he said in a cold voice. “Proceed with the execution.”
Men who were on the ground rushed forward with their bows and arrow, ready to shoot.
“Stop!” a thunderous voice ordered, and everyone came to a halt. “On whose order is an execution taking place?”
“Beta Ralph” the men chorused.
“When did you start taking decisions without my instruction?”
“Alpha, she probably leaked important information to the Rogues, reason their attack took us unaware” Ralph defended immediately.
Alpheus brows furrowed. “Probably? You are not even sure, and yet you propagated an execution.”
“Everyone were either at the pack or their various home except her.”
“I only went to clear my mind at the riverbank after getting rejected by a mate I longed for” Aurora finally voiced out. “Is that too much to do?”
A scoff escaped Ralph lips. “My rejection is definitely the reason you connived with the rogues.”
“Can you even hear yourself? You rejected me last night, and we were also attacked last night. Does it even add up?” Aurora fired back.
“Enough!”
“Untie her” Alpheus said again. “Since all accusations point to you, from this moment you cease to be a member of the Moonlight pack, I hereby banish you.”
Daciana immediately went on her knee, tears welling from her eyes. “Alpha, you can't do this, she is innocent.”
“I accept your judgement.”
“Aurora!” Daciana yelled in disbelief.
“What is it, mother? I have never felt like I was a member of this pack since I was born. Yes, we are Omega's, but other Omegas are treated far better than us” Aurora said walking towards her. “I could have died unjustly for a sin I didn't commit, and after narrowly escaping death, you want me to stay back. Why should I?”
“Aurora” Daciana whimpered.
“I would be fine mum, take care of yourself. Forget about me.”
Daciana shakes her head rigorously. “I don't want to.”
“Goodbye mum. Hopefully, I would see you again soon” Aurora said, letting go of Daciana's hand, she followed the guards who were already waiting to lead her out.
Hot tears rolled down Daciana's cheek, her leg giving way as she watched her daughter's retreating figure. Knowing she might never see her again, broke her further. “Be fine Rora, mother loves you” Daciana whispered below her breath.

Getting to the pack's entrance, a sigh escaped Aurora's lip as she stared at where she spent the past twenty-three years of her life for the last time. “You would be fine” Aurora encouraged herself as she started her journey to nowhere in particular.
Hours later.
“My whole body aches” Aurora complained as she stopped for a while to catch her breath, she has been walking all day to no avail. “I have to find somewhere to lay my head, it's getting dark” she muttered, her eyes darting to the sun which was setting.
Suddenly, Aurora heard footstep, she turned back in excitement thinking it could be someone like her, but she saw no one. Letting out a sigh in disappointment, she turned around, deciding to continue her journey, but her head felt light, someone has hit her with a plank from behind. Aurora tried to see the perpetrator, but her lids failed her.
A splash of water jolted Aurora back to life. “Get up, the auction is about to begin” a cold feminine voice ordered.
Aurora stared at her surrounding in the confusion. “Auction? Why am I here?”
“So bold of you to ask me questions even after I bought you” the woman replied with a scoff.
Aurora's pupils dilated in shock. “Bought? I am not some sort of product.”
“Shut up, and come get ready” the woman yelled, pulling her up.
“I can't wear this” Aurora retorted staring at the dress, the strange woman made her wear. It was barely below her butt, her navel open, her breasts almost popping out.
The woman rolled her eyes. “You have no say in this, I must be able to get a bidder that I would sell you for double your purchase.”
The next moment, Aurora found herself in line with other ladies, some looking younger than her, and among all the ladies in line, she seemed to be the only one well-dressed. What the others were putting on was as good as rags.
“And, she is going for twelve million” a loud masculine voice said from the podium, there was a girl in tears beside him. “She is young, and undefiled. A perfect catch” the man said again.
“Twenty million dollars” a voice said from the crowd, making Aurora gasp from where she stood.
A wide grin graced the man's face. “Anyone with a better price? She is also well-endowed” the man on the podium said, yanking the girls top off her body, her breasts coming into view.
“50 million dollars” a man from the audience said, lust evident in his eyes.
A wide grin graced the host's face. “Any other person with a better deal?” After a while of silence, he spoke again. “Since there is no other deal, she would be going for 50 million dollars.”
The man who had gotten the girl had a slutty smile on his face. Immediately, she was handed to him, he grabbed her ass, giving it a rough squeeze. His free hand trailed roamed her naked chest, and all she could do was shudder.
Aurora shakes her head in disbelief. She felt pity for the girl, but it all soon disappeared as she thought of her predicament. What if she is given to a dirty man like that?
As the line got shorter, Aurora's heartbeat accelerated. If only, she was not kidnapped and sold, she wouldn't be in this position, but it was too late.
“Our last item for tonight is this damsel here” the host announced as he pulled Aurora who was walking like a snail.
“I am not an item” Aurora said lowly. The man ignored her and turned to the audience. “She is the prettiest of all the ladies we have been bidding on. She is special and will have many uses.”
The way he emphasized “many uses” sent a chill down Aurora's spine. Tears welled up in her eyes as she felt a wave of nausea wash over her.
Her voice breaking, she whispered. “I don't want this.” This was all Ralph fault, if only he didn't set her up, she would be in the comfort of her room, reading a new novel. She prays she survives this, she would go back for her mum, and make him pay.
“Let’s see what is underneath!” one of the men in the crowd suddenly shouted. Aurora's eye widened in horror, almost popping out of its socket.
The crowd erupted in cheers, as the host stepped forward.
“Please…” Aurora shook her head, her voice trembling. “Don’t… don’t do this… please.”
The host smirked, reaching for the hem of her dress. “Let’s see how you look underneath,” he sneered, and with a sudden jerk, he ripped her dress open, exposing her.
Laughter echoed through the hall, and Arianna lowered her head, unable to bear the humiliation, her cries barely audible.
Why was the Moon Goddess so cruel? After everything, she has suffered since childhood.
“Do you like what you see?” the host’s voice boomed, and the crowd cheered again. “Let’s start the bidding at 50 million,” he announced, and immediately, several hands were raised.
“Fifty one million.”
“Sixty million.”
“Seventy million.”
The numbers increased, and Aurora watched, as the devious men and women placed their bids.
“A hundred million!” A voice boomed across the hall. Aurora raised her head and spotted the man who had just seemed to have won the bid.
Her life now belonged to another.
