Untitled Episode
“Aurora! Don't tell me you are reading a novel again” Daciana said as she made her way in.
A pretty young lady with blue eyes, shifted her eyes from the book in her hands. “Mum, what else should I be doing? I am done with the chores for today.”
“You should be out there like every other young person, it's the full moon.”
“The last time I checked I was twenty-three, not that young if you ask me” Aurora replied, darting her eyes back to the book she had in hand.
A sigh escapes Daciana's lip. “That's more reason for you to be out there. Who knows, you might find your mate…”
Aurora burst into laughter before Daciana could go on with her words. “I am so sorry mum, but that sounds hilarious. My mates already have three pups, and I am yet to find my mate. Do you even think I have one?” “Moreover, I don't have a wolf. No one would even want to be mate with me. I wonder what I did to the moon goddess to be this unfortunate, but this is my life, and I have come to terms with it.”
“Rora, don't say that” Daciana said softly. “We might be Omega's, but you are just like every other person, and I strongly believe you have a wolf. The moon goddess is known to be gracious and kind, she has something great in stuck for you.”
Aurora sighs. “You are just saying that to make me feel better, if I had a wolf, she would have spoken to me over a decade ago mum.”
“Can you at least go out, please? You might find your mate.”
“Since you are hellbent on disturbing my peace, I would go out as you wish. But, today would still be like any other full moon, I would come back without a mate” Aurora said as she stood up to her feet.
“At least try,” Daciana encouraged, pulling her by the hand.
“I don't even have a wolf. How would I catch a whiff of my mate's scent?” Aurora whined, but her mum already pushed her out of the house.
Letting out a deep sigh, Aurora started to walk towards the open field where other wolves meet their match. Aurora has always known her life to be rocky, and she didn't think things would change now. Growing up as an Omega, the lowest rank in social class within the pack, was tough. Then, when other pups her age started hearing their wolf speak, it wasn't the same for her. She hoped that at least, her wolf would reach out before her coming of age ceremony, but nothing of that sought happened. And, now when others her age are living happily with their mates and pups, she is still on the lookout for hers.
Suddenly, a strong hand gripped Aurora by the waist. “Mate?”
Aurora gasped, turning to face the owner of the voice, her eyes widened further. It was Ralph, the Beta, second in command after the Alpha. Was Ralph her mate? Is this the moon goddess' way of paying her back for everything she has been through?
“The moon goddess is indeed cruel” Aurora heard Ralph say, interrupting her line of thoughts.
Ralph let go of Aurora, with a frown on his face. “Didn't think the moon goddess would choose an Omega as my mate, and not just an Omega, the weakest among all Omegas.”
“Hey, that's a mean thing to say” Aurora yelled, trying to hide the pain in her eyes.
A scoff escapes Ralph's lips. “Is the truth too bitter to stomach? You don't even have a wolf, do you think I would accept you as mine? You must be delusional.”
“What do you mean by that? Are you…Are you rejecting me?” Aurora stammered.
“Oh, you need me to spell it out, then I will. Aurora Fuller, I do not accept you as my mate, I reject you” Ralph screamed, leaving her rooted to her spot.
A tear dropped from Aurora's eyes as she watched his retreating figure, soon another dropped, and she burst into hot tears. She has heard of people being rejected by their mate, but she didn't think, it would hurt this much. Clutching her chest, Aurora made her way out of the field with only one place in mind, the river bank, that has been her quiet place, she finds the sound of the waters soothing. Getting to the bank, she got stones, and started throwing it into the water, many thoughts running through her mind.
“What were you thinking, Aurora? Did you think anyone would like someone like you? Wake up from your slumber” Aurora scolded herself, as she rubbed her eyes that were starting to get drowsy.

“There, she is” Aurora heard a loud voice scream, jolting her from her sleep, she had fallen asleep at the riverbank.
“How dare you connive with rogues against our pack?” a familiar voice said to Aurora, it was Ralph.
Aurora furrowed her brows confused. “What do you mean by that?”
“Don't try to act innocent traitor, you betrayed our pack, and you won't go scot-free” Ralph said with a clenched fist, hatred laced in his voice. “Take her to the execution ground!”
Immediately, the guards grabbed Aurora roughly. “What is going on here? Why are you treating me like a criminal?” Aurora said in tears, trying to free herself from their grip.
“Because you are a criminal” one of the guards replied.
“That's not true, I am innocent” Aurora protested, but a slap was what followed on her check.
“Stay quiet” the guard who hit her yelled with a glare that sent shivers down her spine.
Aurora closed her eyes due to the sting from the slap, a tear escaping her eyes. Getting to the execution ground, she is tied to the tree situated in the middle. No one that has ever been tied to the tree ever made it alive, they end up getting beheaded.
“Let the execution begin” Ralph's voice thundered.
“How about the trial?” one of the guards asked.
“They would be no need for that. She was the only one who was neither at home nor at the field when the rogue attacked. What other evidence do we need?” “She is the culprit, proceed with the execution.”
