Hi, my name is Destiny, and I am the third oldest daughter to Ruben and Gloria Ramirez to work for my family restaurant, I work and go to school that is what i do on a daily basis. I have no social life because that is the way my father wants to keep it. He runs a tight ship. I wake up, pull out my family uniform that is required, black pants, purple and white shirt with the logo of Rivieria family on the back, and my name Destiny stitched to the front of my shirt. As I step into my bathroom, I look at my birds nest of a hair and just sigh, "It's going to be a long day," I say to myself. As Destiny is still staring at herself in the mirror, her mother Gloria yells upstairs, "Destiny, are you awake?" "Yes, mother, I am awake,"said Destiny "Good because you are opening up the restaurant with your father, and you know he doesn't like to be late to open up the doors," said Gloria. I was shocked that I was opening up the restaurant with my dad. I was wondering what would possess my father to have me open the restaurant with him. I was absolutely dumbfounded. Well know point of crying over spilled milk or cause an argument with mother or father. I jumped in the shower and washed my hair while humming a tune in my head. I wash my body, I get out and wrap a towel on my head and body. I start brushing my teeth, then comb my hair thru so it can untangle and just put it in a messy bun on top of my head. I go back in my room and I see that I only have five more minutes before my father starts yelling about how he hates being late, he is so punctual with time, that must have skipped me because I am always late. I think that is why I don't understand why my dad wants me to help him open up. He knows I like my shift, three to 6. I bet my dad did this because I'm on break from school and want to give me more hours. Well, it is just not fair. "Destiny, we are going to be late. Get your butt down here," yelled Ruben. Destiny jumped up so fast that she didn't realize two minutes of overthinking caused her dad to yell at her already. "Geez, dad, relax, we will not be late, im almost done," said Destiny. "Don't get smart with me, Destiny you know I don't like to be late," "Well dad didn't nobody ask you to have me open the restaurant with you, you know I like my hours" I said. Ruben started to yell to his daughter, but she was coming down the stairs in her uniform and ready to go. "Let's go, dad, don't want to be late." Ruben just grumbled to himself, kissed his wife on the forehead, and walked out the door. Gloria just laughed to herself about her daughter's response. I get into my father's car. He starts backing out of the driveway and heads towards the restaurant. They are listening to the tunes, I'm just humming a long to the music waiting for my father to say something because I just know my dad is going to say why he wants me to start early, I have a feeling my father wants to give me more responsibility or OMG, I turned and looked at my dad who was tapping his hand on the steering wheel quite quickly, like he was impatient, she was wondering why he wanted her to go, she hopes it not what she is thinking but nine times out ten what she thinks is usually accurate because she seen it happened with her two other sisters, her dad is trying to hook her up with a long time friend of the family, who has been around for quite a long time and is the same age as her.
