Someone To Hold

Chapter 7

Andrea woke up in a familiar room. She stood up and the dizziness enveloped her head, making her feel nauseous. She held her head and calmed herself until the pain go away, little by little.

Without a second thought, she immediately shove away the blanket. To her relief, her clothes are still intact.

"As I remember, I was very drunk last night. Who drove me home?" Andrea tried to remember what happened last night and when some of it became clear to her, she was dumbfounded and she's lost of words.

"Looks like the drunk woman just woke up."

She heard someone spoke from her side. As she turned her gaze towards the door and she saw a tall man, holding a tray with a bowl of soup and a medicine.

Andrea's eyes widened and she immediately covered herself with a blanket.

"What the f**k are you doing in my room?"

"That's not a nice thing to say to someone who drove you here last night. Can you at least say thank you?" Xeno strides slowly towards the side of the bed and put the tray in the table.

Andrea watched as he stirs the soup gently. She leaned on the headboard of the bed.

"Eat first then you can have the medicine here to ease the pain of hangover."

"Can I ask something, Mr. Xeno?"

Xeno dragged the chair that he found in the corner and sat down quietly.

"You're already asking."

Tss. Still so arrogant. She let out a deep breath, avoiding an argument.

"Why are you there last night?"

"Hmm.. My friends told me that they wanted to have a drink and coincidentally they chose Ms. Angel's Bar. I didn't know you were there too."

"Oh I see."

"Do you remember what you did last night?"

Her heart skip a beat upon hearing what he just said. Although she remembered the time in the bar, she couldn't remember what happens next and she just found herself in her own room right now.

"N-no.. I don't remember. It's kinda blurry. Ahmm.. What did I do last night?" She shyly said.

Please tell me I didn't do anything wrong.

"Secret. Don't mind it, darling." He teasingly said and poked her nose.

"Secret? You took advantage of me when I'm drunk, right?" She's getting pissed by the tone of Xeno's voice.

"Nope. I'm not a kind of man who will take advantage of a drunk woman."

Andrea is still suspecting him.

"Tell me the whole story." She asked him while crawling to sit in front of him.

"It's a secret. Why would I tell you?" He laughed to Andrea's expression.

"Tell me or I'm gonna kick you out of here."

"I won't tell and please if you wanna let me out of here, change the word kick into kiss. Kiss me out of here." he moved his eyebrows up and down.

"p*****t!" She throw a pillow towards him but he just dodged it by simply moving his head to the side.

"Just so you know, we're just in a relationship for our both benefits. No feelings involved and no physical contact as well." She added.

'No physical contact? I don't know about that. Maybe it's best if I really keep it a secret. She might burst out.' He thought.

"By the way, eat the soup while it's hot and have your medicine. It'll help ease your headache." Xeno stood up and returned the chair from where he found it.

"Don't dodge the topic! Mr. Xeno Louindelle!"

Xeno acted like he didn't hear what she said and turned his back on her to look around the room.

On the other hand, Andrea's head begins to hurt again so she was left with no choice but to eat the soup and immediately take the medicine before it gets worse.

"As expected from you, you have a neat and girly room." he said as he roam around Andrea's room, sliding his fingers to the walls.

"Don't touch anything or I'll cut your fingers off", she hissed.

"Alright, darling. Relax."

Andrea rolled her eyes but it doing it caused her head pain so she immediately regretted doing that.

While Xeno was looking around, Andrea started to eat and to her surprise, the soup was delicious and soothing.

"I didn't expect that someone like you can cook like this."

"Of course, I'm not just some random rich and handsome guy with no skills on cooking. Let me know if you love it, I'll cook for you everyday. Except if I'm so busy, of course."

"No need for that, I can cook for myself. This will be the last time that you will cook for me."

"We'll see about that. And also I won't stop saying this, please call me darling, darling."

She gave him a disgusted look.

"No."

"You're so hard to persuade."

"It's good that you know. After I finished, you can go," slowly increasing her chewing pace to finish the soup quickly.

Andrea finished eating the soup and took her the medicine beside the bowl. She looked at the clock in the celling and saw that it's already 10 AM.

"You should go home now....Thanks for driving me home last night." She said while looking at Xeno's back and broad shoulders. He's standing beside the closet. Staring at the wall.

"What are you looking at? You look like a creep."

"Hmm...I should really go home now. Ahm...Rest." Xeno said without looking at her. He looked startled and he hurriedly rushed outside.

Andrea observed him as he walked out the door but she did notice him turning red like a tomato.

"What happened to him? Does he have a fever? Why are his ears red?" Confused about his actions, she walked towards the direction where Xeno was standing a while ago.

When she realized what he was staring at, her blood boils and her face turned red of embarrassment.

"Xeno Louindelle! You asshole!"

It was her exposed pink bra in her laundry basket.

Meanwhile, Xeno walked with long strides towards the elevator. And when he got inside the elevator, he leaned at the corner and covered his face with his both hands.

Shit! I shouldn't have stared at her.....I'm acting like a prevert. Geez..He gently slapped his face.

"I am so ridiculous. I hope she didn't find out about it or I won't be able to go to her room again." he grabbed his hair... still regretting.

The elevator opened and he's now in the parking lot. Xeno immediately walked to his car and got inside of it. He held on the steering wheel and tries to calm himself before driving off.

In the middle of driving, his phone rang.

William calling....

Xeno answered the call while still looking in the front road.

"Xeno boy, where the heck did you go last night. We're worried sick for you, dude." voice of a man is heared on the other line.

"I just drove my girlfriend home. Stop overreacting." Xeno said while smiling.

"You scum! You're one hella lucky bastard. You already have a girlfriend while we're still single. Also, when are you planning to introduce your girlfriend to us? Maybe she have some other single friends. You can back us up." William said with a whining tone.

"No can do. Of course, I will introduce Andrea to you guys, sooner or later but I'm afraid I'll back out in introducing her friends to you. They are her friends and I don't want to endanger them because of you." Xeno said, warning his friends.

He can hear his other friends laughing on the other line.

"Don't be like that, Xeno. We just want to be out of the single stage and settle down with a shawty. From my own research, Andrea was friends with some rich and beautiful girls. Hmm.." another man said on the other line, it's not William who spoke.

"Yes, I met some of them. So what? " Xeno turned right and drove slowly.

"Oh! I get it, you remember that our man here, Lexx is having a birthday party next week?"

Xeno is getting near to his company.

Shoot! I forgot I have a meeting right now with the stock holders. He thought.

"Xeno boy? You still there?" William asked.

"Yes, I'm still listening. I forgot that he was having a party. What then?" Xeno is sensing that these friends of his are planning something.

"Aww, Lexxy here is hurt."

"Shut the f**k up, dude. I'm not having a party. It's just a simple dinner with my family and their business partners." Lexx said on the other line.

"Shh! I'm trying to say something. Let me finish first", William said irritatingly.

"So yeah, he's having a party and maybe you can invite your girlfriend and her friends over. Don't say no, please.."

Xeno sighed to his pleading friend.

"I think I can persuade Andrea but I don't think I can persuade her friends. But I'll try. I'm warning y'all. These ladies are the Denvor's pride. Don't act recklessly."

"Yes!"

"Yohooo!"

"That's more like it!"

"Tssk!"

"That's what I'm talking about! Thanks Xeno my boy", William said happily.

Xeno smiled hearing their shouts through the phone.

"By the way, who are with you right now, William?" he asked.

"Oh, there's me, handsome William, Lexx, Dave, Eurry, Alec, and Zander. Come on here, pal. We haven't bond for weeks now. We miss you."

"Eww, you're disgusting. You're like a girl whining for her lost toy," Xeno replied.

He heared them laugh and tease William. He laughs with them as well.

"That's all, Xeno boy. I'm gonna beat these guys up. Make sure to invite 'em ladies ey." After that William turned off the call.

Xeno just shrugged his shoulders and parked his car in the parking lot of his company. He gets out and toss his car keys to the guard.

He straighten his posture and wears his 'CEO aura' as he walked in.

I'll call Andrea later about the invitation.

Andrea didn't feel like writing another episode of her story. Her head still hurts so she decided to go to Lucille's Cafe to breathe some fresh air.

Beverly Cafe is located near a beach which is also owned by the Beverly family. They all go there when they want to unwind.

She didn't bother to dress up that much and slowly walked towards her car and drove off.

It was just about 10 minutes to get there. She entered the grand Cafe, it might be called Cafe but the place is freaking huge. It can be called a restaurant if there were just cuisines they make but there's none. Just a bakery to the side, mini library, set of tables for customers to sit with their coffee.

When she looked inside, there are other business meetings. Man and woman on their sit with their laptops on.

Andrea walked towards the counter to order her favorite coffee and then she choose a spot where she can see the beach nearly.

"Well, well, well. Look who's here. You had a great night last night, babe. So proud of yah", Lucille appears out of nowhere holding a tray with Andrea's cup of coffee in it and a slice of cake.

"I didn't order a cake. But thanks", she placed her order in the table. And didn't even laid a glance to Lucille.

"So you're not going to spill it huh," Lucille set aside the tray and sits in front of her.

"There's nothing to spill cuz nothing happened," she took a sip to her coffee and ate a small portion of cake.

"Ha! Nothing? Don't be ridiculous, babe. You just won't share it. I won't force you though. You had a good time, that's fine with me," Lucille with her ladylike laugh.

"I remember it all and when I woke up, I still have my clothes on. Nothing happened. Nothing to tell. And why don't you stop staring at me like that. My head still hurts so leave me alone for a while."

"Haha, well whatever you say", Lucille help up her both hands up, surrendering.

After that they chatted about how drunk Daniela is that night, although not just her but all of them. Lucille and Jenevic are the ones who drove the other girls home.

"It was hilarious. Haha. And you know what, Kendys said she's flirting with someone named Devlin. You should have seen her face, she looked like she's inlove."

Both ladies chatted a little more when a guy entered the Cafe and looked for Lucille.

Lucille called the guy to come to their table.

"There you are Lucille, you haven't been answering my messages since yesterday. I have something to tell you. Quick!" he was about to grab Lucille's hand when she slapped it.

"William, don't be rude. We're not even in a relationship duh! We just met last day too," Lucille said.

Andrea was confused on what is happening between these two people in front of her. She just simply sips her coffee and eats her cake.

"William is the son of my dad's business partner, babe," Lucille said to Andrea and she nooded.

"By the way, William this is--," Lucille didn't have the chance to introduce him to Andrea when suddenly he grabbed Lucille's hand and starts to walk out. Hurriedly.

"It was nice meeting you, Miss. I still have something important to say to this lady so till we meet again!", William said as they both exited.

Other people stares at Andrea like she's the one who caused the ruckus. She just said sorry and continued what she's doing.

Who might that be. Is he Lucille's boyfriend? But she said he's just a business partner of her dad. Hmm.. Oh well. Who cares? Andrea thought.

It was almost sunset when Andrea decided to go home. She's feeling better now.

When she got home, she opened her phone and found out that there are 10 missed calls from someone named 'Darling♡'.

"What the f**k?!", she was about to change the name when her phone rings, it's him.

"Why the f**k did you go through my phone? Didn't you know the meaning of privacy? Huh! You asshole!", she exploded with anger.

"Haha, relax darling. I didn't go through anything except for your contacts. I just renamed myself in it. You didn't mention that I can't change my name on your phone. Hehe," Xeno said with a teasing tone.

"I swear I'm gonna kill you someday," she just said that out of nowhere.

"Woah, easy there. If you're gonna kill me with love, I'm on for that," he laughs once again.

"You really have a thick face, have you?", she massaged her forehead because of stress.

"By the way, where have you been? You couldn't answer my calls?."

"I put my phone in a silent mode and went to my friend's. Why do I have to tell you that?"

"Oh nothing. Just checking in and see how you're doing. You don't have a headache anymore, do you."

"It came back when you called. Good job." She lays on her bed while holding her phone.

"Why did you call me?," she asked.

"You know, I was wondering. My friend is having a birthday party next week and I just want to tell you that I want you there with me. Like you know, a date."

"A birthday party? Why do I have to go there? I'm not his friend. It's not necessary for me to go there."

"It is for me. Please, darling. Pretty please," she couldn't believe that the richest man in this country accidentally becomes her boyfriend and now he's pleading like a child.

"Even if I say no, you still won't stop. I don't have a choice," she sighs.

"Thank you, Darling. You're the best," at that moment, she felt that slight happiness that brings a smile to her face.

"Oh! And also, my friend asked if....Ahmm..," Xeno hesitated to say it.

"What? Spill it."

"My friend said that your friends are also invited to come over. Maybe you can tell this to them?," Andrea can sense his hesitation on his tone.

You're just forced too huh. She laughs to him.

"Haha sure I'll tell them but don't expect that they will agree too."

"That's fine with me. I still have something to take care off. That's all I want to say. Thank you once again for accepting my invitation, darling. You made my day."

"Tss, whatever. Bye."

"Bye, Take care."

She ended the call first and put her phone on the table beside her bed. She buried her face on her pillows.

Andrea was about to sleep when she remembered that she still needs to tell her friends about the invitation.

She took her phone and called her friends in their group chat.

They all answered and that's what she's thankful off.

"Xeno invited me for his friend's birthday party next week. He also said that you ladies are invited as well since you are my friends."

"Hmm, you know who's birthday that is?" -Angel.

"No, he didn't say a name. I couldn't decline his invitation. He will just pissed me off to get my approval. No choice", Andrea sighed.

"Oh! I think I know who's having a birthday party. Devlin told me he's a friend of Xeno and the one who's having a party is Lexx Montgomery. You know, the one who owns the bunch of airports around the world?"- Kendys.

"Ohhh! That Lexx, he's a hot pilot too."- Ladyheart.

"Geez. That jerk is having a birthday party? Childish."- Daniela.

"Oopps! Looks like someone is bitter to men now."- Jenevic.

"Oh come on! I met him once and he's a total jerk. I'm not going."- Daniela.

"Don't say that, babe. We're all going. Maybe you'll find a another man there, you know business people sticks with business people. You can find a hotty there you know."- Lucille.

"Please, Daniela. I want all of us to go. Accompany me too, I don't want to stick with Xeno all the time," Andrea said.

"Fine! Whatever you want."- Daniela.

"That settles it then. Andrea, tell Xeno, we're in."-Angel.

"Yeah sure. Thanks ladies. Have a good night," she ended the call and texted Xeno that they all agreed.

"Hey. They all agreed to go." That's what she says to the text.

She didn't bother to wait for his reply and walked to her bathroom to take a bath before preparing for dinner.
