The Whisper in the Garden
Timmy loved spending time in his small garden behind the house. Every evening after school, he would run outside, water the plants, and watch the butterflies dance in the air. The garden was his favorite place in the world. At the far end near the old wooden fence stood a tall, wide tree with rough bark and long branches. Timmy had seen this tree every day, but he had never paid much attention to it before.
One quiet afternoon, as the wind blew gently and the leaves rustled softly, Timmy heard something strange.
“Timmy…” a soft voice whispered.
He stopped watering the plants and looked around. There was no one there. He thought it might be his imagination. But then again, he heard it.
“Timmy… come closer.”
His heart beat faster. The voice seemed to come from the old tree. Slowly and carefully, Timmy walked toward it. The leaves shook slightly even though the wind had stopped.
“D-did you just call my name?” Timmy asked nervously.
To his shock, the tree replied in a calm, gentle voice, “Yes, Timmy. I have been waiting for you.”
Timmy could not believe his ears. Trees were not supposed to talk! But this one did. The Talking Tree told Timmy that it had been watching him for many years and that he was special. Deep inside the garden, beyond what humans could normally see, lived tiny magical creatures who needed help.
“Only you can help them,” said the tree.
Timmy’s fear slowly turned into curiosity. A new adventure was about to begin.
