PacoI couldn't steal myself away from the block. The sun had a sting to it and I was growing hungry and thirsty, but I wanted to do something on my property, make a small difference to mark the occasion. Thinking I would tidy up, I went back to the outbuilding and picked up the rocks scattered around in the dirt, creating a small pile of them outside. I soon tired. My gloveless hands burned and my back was stiffening from the effort. I hadn't dressed for hard labour and I didn't want to dirty my capris.
