Moving RocksNot long after Paco left, I set off for Puerto del Rosario, heading to the hardware store on the town outskirts. There, I bought a shovel and spade, a garden fork and trowel, four pairs of heavy-duty gardening gloves, a watering can and a small wheelbarrow. I had to fold down the back seats to get the wheelbarrow in the car. Mindful of the dirt those tools would bring into the boot, I went back and bought a sheet of thick plastic. I dearly wanted to get back to Tiscamanita but it was nearing lunchtime and my stomach was eating itself. I drove to my apartment and made a ham and cheese baguette, and poured and large glass of juice. I ate and drank so fast I belched on the last mouthful. Then I changed into a loose t-shirt and shorts and a pair of canvas plimsolls and I was back
