I slapped myself in the head. Oh, my God, Jase could be so dense.
We needed help. That was for God damn sure.
I got to my feet and looked straight at Bella. “Um, we scared her off.”
Bella frowned, but Tommy just laughed and headed for the kitchen.
He opened the fridge. “You guys hungry?”
I shook my head. “We ate at Milly’s just before you arrived.”
Tommy started rummaging through his huge silver fridge and Bella crossed her arms over her chest. “What did you do?”
Ollie threw his hands up in the air. “We didn’t do... anything.”
She raised an eyebrow and gave me a reproachful look. “Fin?”
