The senator agreed to a meeting. I left Simon’s house in disguise. I’d always wanted to be a blond; now was my chance. Doug closed up shop. Simon left his office. Todd drove from the dorm, Craig in the passenger seat. Worlds were again colliding. The sonic BOOM! happened at The Den.
We entered, one after the next. Craig had a large duffel bag with him. He unzipped it and handed out costumes to each of us, smiling brightly as he did so. He’d been on his own for a while now, a lone wolf, as it were; I think he preferred the comradery of the group. Besides, he was clearly in charge, and I knew for certain he enjoyed that.
