Maya's POV
That leap was exciting! It was the first time I was doing something radical and it felt so good. I walked through the forest, inhaling the smell of nature. A mix of soil and wet grass and trees. The sound of birds, crickets and other animals filled the forest.
I walked, reminiscing about the leap and events that happened before the leap. While I was still at the clan, how I was treated, secluded, mocked a million times in front of Jax and how he never moved to defend me.
I doubt a strand of his hair ever moved for me, I remember how I could feel his wolf trying to claw his way out for me but he would bite himself so hard, his wolf would back down.
