Maya is made an outcast in her own clan.

Her father was the Alpha of the Shekem clan, died leaving his position to Jax, who would marry Maya but she grew up, perceived as weak and unwanted, seen as a burden.

Fated to be Alpha Jax’s mate, He marks her and she thinks it was the beginning of a beautiful relationship but it was the beginning of her terror.

She is mistreated by the clan members, including Jax himself, under the pressure of the elders and for his selfish reason because she is seen as weak and unworthy.

Yet despite the cruelty, Maya remains loyal, serving wholeheartedly… even to the Alpha who breaks her.

She endures pain until the day she witnesses the ultimate betrayal: Jax in bed with her own step-sister, Olivia.

That was the last straw!

She leaves—broken, humiliated, and determined never to return.

But fate isn’t done with her.

Unknown to all, Maya is no ordinary wolf. She is a rare hybrid; of a forbidden union; werewolf and fairy. And when her power awakens under the blue full moon, it doesn’t just change her…

It renews her.

She encounters Aiden of the Clover clan, who first perceives her as a threat but after much observation, he noticed she was trying to find herself, he helps her discover her true form.

Jax begins to feel an unexplainable void of emptiness, a painful connection he knows is because his mate is gone.

And Maya? She’s no longer the weak girl he once knew.

She’s already moved on… and in alliance with his greatest enemy, Aiden of the Clover clan.

When fate pulls them back together, one question remains:

Will Maya choose her fated mate, the man who destroyed her… or the one who helped her rise?

Chapter1
*Slap* The entire room gasped, snickering and laughing, pointing their fingers in ridicule to me. “Hahaha! She is so done for today." Someone said, “Honestly, she is just a pain ." Another person said. “I honestly don't understand why the last Alpha spared her a glance.” Someone else sneered… their voices dropped into my head with venom. Their words sliced through my heart, painful just as always. I felt it, hard and burning, stinging my cheek. My vision blurred with tears, tears threatening to escape my eyes as I held my cheek. I lifted my face to meet her gaze, Kelly… Jax's younger sister who I was clearly older than, standing high and mighty. Her eyes staring down at me with pure disgust. I stood up straight, turning to search for Jax, he was sitting on his throne. He casually scanned me, a hint of care in his eyes but he took his eyes off me. (He doesn't even care) I took a deep breath to calm myself, looking at the ground. “You wrench! Why did you get me pork meat when I asked for sheep?!" She screamed, poking my forehead aggressively, continuously, in an attempt to push me down. I kept quiet, still facing the ground. She stared a little longer, trying to catch if I would drop a reaction but I didn't. It seemed like my silence made her bored and caused her to go away. When she left, I walked to the kitchen sitting with the maids. Only they understood me in this entire town because I am being treated like them. " Hey Maya.” Rachel called out, her voice soft as she walked up to me with a piece of cake, dropping it in front of me. I tried to smile but my cheek was swollen and so it was hard. " It's okay. I'm so sorry about what happened out there.” She said dipping her hands into her apron pocket. " Thanks, it's okay." I said biting into the cake. “ Girl, it is not okay, it actually isn't okay.” Natasha said, wiping the table, anger evident in her voice. I knew it wasn't okay but what could I do? I love Jax and he loves me too…it is just hard for him to express his love. “ Natasha?" Rachel called out, her voice in a warning tone. “It's okay Rachel… she's actually right.” I said taking the last bite of the cake staring at the window. Natasha looked at Rachel with a ‘ I told you’ look. " But what choice do I have? I love Jax… and I'm sure he feels the same too.” I said silently hope but the doubt that crept in my heart was much louder. The ladies exchanged looks and slapped their heads in unison. “They have all forgotten so soon who the Alpha of this clan was." Natasha said disappointment, sitting on a stool by my side. A tear slid down my face , I bit down the inside of my mouth, trying hard to fight back tears and muffle my cry. Rachel held me as I cried, patting my back to calm me down. “Maybe you should go to your room and take a nap. Don't overthink it.” Natasha said is a small voice, I nodded and left the kitchen. I walked to the room they had reserved for me only after I lost my dad. A cramped space next to the toilet, which was supposed to be a storage room. I collapsed on the tiny bed and tears streaming down my face, it has always been this way, since my father died and left Jax as the Alpha just so he can marry me as his fated mate but Jax… is nothing but harsh to me. I buried my face in pillow, hearing voices on the other side of the room. It sounded like Jax's voice. “You don't get to treat Maya that way." He said. “Why not? I told her to do something so simple but she couldn't! She's incompetent!" The other voice which seemed to belong to Kelly said angrily. “Why would you send her to get something for you? She's not a maid!" Jax's voice was rising with impatience. “Neither is she one of us!" She retorted. “You don't get to dictate that! Don't treat her like that, if you need to get something call one of the maids but not Maya!" He said then I heard a stomp on the ground. He was defending me! Maybe he has been defending me all this time and I have overthinking it all this time, I wiped my tears, smiling to myself. I knew he felt something for me . I thought as the door flung open. It was Jax but he looked angry!
