We are getting closer and closer to the South Eastern realm. Everyone wonders who we will find there. Deep down, I know both Eric and Radon both hope it is their princesses.
We are only about a day away from the South Eastern realm and all of us are getting anxious. We are all on edge not knowing who or what we will find when we get there.
We ended up having to stop for a couple of days because of the rain and Eric getting a couple drops on himself. It looked painful. Plus, he tore his pants.
As sad as it is, it was kind of entertaining. Out of nowhere, we heard the word “s**t!”
I looked out the carriage window just in time. He managed to jump off his horse just as his pants ripped open. Thankfully
I didn't see anything “intimate”, but I did see his tail form at the bottom.
So we ended up having to stop. Poor Lilly and Brelear were stuck in the carriage for hours. So they slept. I sit outside with Eric. I felt bad because I made the mistake of trying to help him off the trail.
“Stop! Stop!” he yelled.
“Oh, I'm sorry!” I tell him backing up real fast.
This no touching people curse was getting annoying. I am so used to helping people and now I can't. My nursing skills… I can't even use them.
I let out an exasperated sigh and sit down hard on a log in annoyance. I cross my arms and look off into the distance.
Eric, with the help of my guardsman, gets pulled to the log I'm sitting on. “Man, I'm still burning where you grabbed me.” He says rubbing his arm.
I look at him and shrug, “Sorry, I was trying to help.”
He smiles at me, “I know. Sadly, you can't right now. It hurts too much.”
I shake my head and look away. When night finally falls, the rainstorm gets heavy and Eric lays out in it.
I watch him as he lays back the rain hitting his face. I get back in the carriage to avoid getting wet while Lilly and Brelear go hunt for food.
It's raining so hard we can't make a fire. Lilly thinking she was being funny tosses me the rabbit they had caught.
I catch it and feel the pain; my hands start to burn. Through the pain, I hold on to the rabbit. Five minutes later the bunny is fully cooked and ready to be eaten. I toss it back to her and she gives some to Eric.
I wasn't hungry. Plus, the pain was keeping me too distracted to do anything. I slowly breathed in and out waiting for the burning to pass.
When it finally did, the rain had stopped. Lilly dried Eric off as best as she could, but it didn't matter. He was stuck that way for over a day.
When we were finally able to leave again, we were close to the edge of the forest. We stopped for the night.
All of us wanted to make sure we were prepared for what was ahead.
That night it was a full moon. The night sky was shining. We went to sleep that night.
But our sleep didn't last long...
