CHAPTER 24 Brygida led the ride back to her witchlands, her heart in her throat as Demon flew over the countryside. Mama and Mamusia were in danger, and even with the snow melting some, they couldn’t get there fast enough. They moved as quickly as they could without hurting the horses, but every moment that passed, the mob of villagers could be getting closer to the cottage, to her mothers inside and unaware of what awaited them.
