Her alpha mate

I woke up this morning with my head throbbing from last night's party. It was my cousin Brittany's birthday party so all of us cousins decided to gather together last night to celebrate under the moon. As I get up I notice pain in my side as well and remember last night I hadn't only been drinking but I got into a fight with my over possessive cousin Tina. I was drinking by the table by myself when her mate came over and started to talk with me about a surprise for Tina, when Tina had noticed us talking and immediately accused me of trying to steal her mate. He looked at me apologetically and I just flashed him a smile of knowing. I tried to come up with something to make her not think we were doing anything, trying not to spoil the night. She had been quite insistent on wanting my blood on her hands though, so with how much violence I really do love I obliged and had some fun. I tried holding back so she would still look good for the surprise her mate had for her, but I don't tolerate being disrespected by anyone. Not even family. I had grown up in my little pack as everyone calls it to themselves. the name of our pack is red leaf pack. Though our pack is fairly small, not many challenge us due to our warriors. Some of our warriors are the strongest in the world. It is probably why I have never been one to falter under someone else's power. Our alpha hates how I don't fall and bare my neck to him, but he doesn't make a deal of it and I wonder why. I was raised by my mother who has me and my other two siblings. My father died when I was 11 from a rogue attack. Since then my mother has only lost herself more and more every day and my brother and I were left to raise our baby sister. I made my way downstairs after putting on a pair of black leggings and a Korn t-shirt. I didn't care much about my appearance to other people. As I make it to the kitchen I see my older brother is already sitting at the kitchen table reading newspaper and drinking at his coffee, as he peers up to look at me with a distasteful look on his face. "you were out late last night. where were you? Angela was whining about you all night, saying that she thought you had been taken away." River says with a cold tone. "It was Brittany's birthday last night, you knew that." I say glaring dagger at him. My brother and I don't exactly get along anymore. I still remember the day I decided I hated my brother with a passion like it was yesterday. I was 14 and he was 17, our baby sister was only 4 at the time. I came home from school to find my brother forcing our 4 year old sister to wash all the walls in the house just because she accidentally got some pudding on the wall by her booster seat at the table. Upon coming to find this I of course made her stop right away and that was the first time my brother and I got into a physical fight. Since then our hate for one another only grew. Today was different though, he seemed almost worried that I was out. Maybe it has to do with the fact that my 18th birthday is in 4 days and he know that I might find my mate and leave him to take care of the family.
