Matteo Rossi:
This morning, I had two short meetings, but I was feeling exhausted. Nate and I had just arrived at the agency after a meeting with the professionals responsible for the decoration of the opening event.
As we entered the agency, I felt the colleagues’ stares shift toward us. I hurriedly walked towards my office, and although my secretary tried to interact with me, I couldn’t hear her words. As soon as I entered, I was surprised to see her there. “s**t, she looks perfect,” I thought, feeling my heart race.
— What are you doing here? … Who’s this hottie? — Nate asked, appearing behind me. Instantly, I frowned.
— Shut up, asshole! — I retorted, trying to hold back.
— Hi — she said shyly, and I recognized her as Kyra.
— Hi, Kyra. I was a bit late because I was in a meeting — I responded, trying to keep the conversation light.
— No problem, I just arrived too — she smiled, and I noticed how her face lit up the room.
— So this is the famous Kyra? Matteo, you were right to say that she… — Nate started, but I interrupted.
— She’d make a great model — I completed, not taking my eyes off her.
— Well, I’ve never worked as a model, but I’ll give it my best — Kyra said determinedly.
— You’ll manage, I’m sure — I affirmed, praising her without reservations.
— Do you want me to get a bucket? You’re flooding the room with all this drool! — Nate whispered, interrupting my moment.
— Shut up, i***t! — I replied, giving him a stern look.
— Let’s get started, then — Kyra suggested, seeming relieved to change the subject.
— Sure — I agreed, heading toward my desk. As I passed by her, I inhaled her alluring perfume: “smells f*****g good.”
After the meeting, Nate and I sat down with Kyra to discuss the final details.
— Since you’re the official model for the launch, you’ll need to travel with me to any brand events — I explained, noticing she looked a bit surprised.
— Okay, and the photos? When will I do them? — she asked, with evident curiosity in her eyes.
— Still this week. I’ll schedule it with the photographers and let you know the day — I replied, keeping a professional tone.
— All right, then — she said, showing enthusiasm.
— Here’s the contract — Nate handed her the document, which she promptly signed.
— I have to go; I scheduled lunch with a partner — Nate announced, heading for the door, leaving me alone with Kyra.
— I’m leaving too — she said, getting up. On impulse, I softly grabbed her wrist, making her turn to me.
— Want to have lunch with me? — I asked, with an inviting smile.
— I don’t think that’s a good idea — she replied, hesitant.
— It’s just lunch. I don’t bite — I joked, trying to lighten the mood.
— Then, I accept — she said, and a smile lit up my face.
I stood up and went to my desk, grabbing the car key before looking at her.
— Shall we? — I called.
— Let’s go! — she responded excitedly.
We left the room, and as we crossed the agency, the curious stares from colleagues intensified. I noticed Kyra seemed a bit uncomfortable. To ease her nerves, I gently took her hand. She shot me a surprised look but soon relaxed, and we headed toward the car.
When we arrived, I let go of her hand and opened the door for her, which she thanked me for with a warm smile before getting in. Sitting in the driver’s seat, we quickly left the agency, starting a new chapter in this story that was just beginning.
