Renisannce Romance

       Three small children run through a field in the kingdom of Alinthi in the year 1400. They laugh as they have just escaped the village square with chocolate scones in hand.  "I can't believe we did that!"  said Rhett. "Her mother will have our heads if she gets word of this!" shouted Twilia, she was always the rule follower.   Princess Sapphira laughed, "Do not fear Lady Twilia.  My mother and father are far too busy to worry about going ons in the town square.  Besides this is the best chocolate scone I've tasted especially knowing that I acquired it for myself!"  The princess was always being told what to do, what to eat, what to wear, but when her hand maiden let her sneak out with her friends, she did what she wanted.   They began to walk back towards the castle talking and laughing as young ten year olds do.  The Princess's handmaiden came running towards them, "My lady!  Your father is looking for you!  It is time to prepare for your party tonight!" "Of course Helena, I will be right there."       She turned to her friends, "I have had a lovely time.  I do hope we can do it again soon."  She flashed a bright smile and tossed her long dark curls and she was gone.     "Twilia, I swear to you that one day Princess Sapphira will be my wife.  There has never been another girl more beautiful than her," Rhett stated. Twilia laughed, "Rhett you are only a stable boy.  You cannot marry the princess.  She will marry a prince as she is expected to and you will marry a common woman and have lots of babies."  He scoffed,  but did not miss the slightly disappointed look on Twilia's face as he said, "I will do whatever it takes to make her mine.  There will never be another for me."
