Andrea thought that she was done with her past, but no matter how far she ran, she could never get away from him, the one she rejected, the one who never gave up. He is the one he will claim as his, whether she wanted it or not. In his eyes, she belongs to him and no one else.

The Morning After
Andrea's POV (Five Years Ago) You know the unsettling feeling of waking up in an unfamiliar place after a drunken night? Especially when there's a hot body sleeping next to you? If you don't know what that feels like, allow me to elaborate. Before that, I need to explain how I even got here. Last night, it was my eighteenth birthday party. Up until last night, I had never been allowed to go out on my own. For various reasons, but mostly for my safety. Being born into the Diandi family isn't easy. We are basically living on borrowed time because when you have the kind of rank my family has, everyone wants to have it for themselves. I didn't choose this life, and if I had a choice, I would rather have been born in a normal family. Maybe then I wouldn't have found myself in this awkward position. All my life, I have had to follow the rules in my family, and perhaps, being the only girl and the youngest of five, they might have gone overboard and downright obsessive about my safety. As a result, I was never allowed to go anywhere on my own. After all, I have four older brothers, and no matter how busy things are with the family business, one of them will always have time to tag along wherever I want to go somewhere. That doesn't mean that I didn't find my own way to get away. Even if it was for a few hours, I always found a way to escape. Even still, "someone" would always be there. ( We'll talk about him in a bit.) Well, what I am trying to explain is that I barely had any freedom. But last night was different; I officially became an adult, and with that, I had only one birthday wish. It wasn't the new sports car my first brother, Kane, gave me; it wasn't the new collection of clothes and bags my twin brothers got me; neither was it the set of diamond jewelry my last brother got me. All those gifts were extravagant, which was expected. They do this every year. All of my brothers get along very well, except when it comes to me. All four are always trying to outdo one another. So the gifts aren't exactly exciting to me; I only wished for one thing, and that thing was my freedom. I didn't tell them; I went straight to my father and I told him that for my birthday, I wanted to go out. He was very reluctant to let me go at first, especially because he knew that my brothers wouldn't agree with him. Then, I did the one thing I could do to make him give in. I began to talk about my mother, about how much I missed her and that she wouldn't have me on a tight leash like they did if she were still alive. I finally broke him, and he agreed to let me go. He might be the most powerful man on this side of the world, but I'm still his daughter and since my mother died, he does whatever he can to make me happy. To make sure my brothers wouldn't bother me. He sent them off on a mission. Father, for the first time in eighteen years, I was finally able to go out on my own. I want to go to the club a few minutes away from my older brother's club. I always party there, and for me, it was safest option. I know for a fact that my brother's people wouldn't come here, so that was always my first option. Now, let's talk about that " someone" I mentioned earlier on. His name is Sebastian Vale; he is my neighbor and, most importantly, my rival. He is a couple of years older than me, and ever since I can remember, he has always been a thorn in my side. I don't know how, but every time I escaped to do something on my own, he would just miraculously show up and basically be my shadow, and if I decided to chase him away, he always threatened to tell my brothers. Last night, I didn't even care if he would tell my brothers; what I cared about was that I had my freedom, and I wasn't going to let him ruin my night. After all, I had a deal with my father. If I could handle being out on my own, he would definitely speak to my brothers and let them give me a bit more freedom. So, last night, I was determined to prove myself. Everything was going fine, and even though Sebastian kept his eyes on me like a hawk, he did not interfere with my celebrations. With the few friends I had, I made sure to have all the fun I could in just one night; I guess I had a little bit too much fun. I wish I could say that it was the alcohol, but that would be a lie, too. I knew that I had been lying to myself the moment I stumbled out of the bathroom and literally fell into Sebastian's arms. " Hey, handsome..." I said to him, slightly slurring as I poked his nose. " I think that you have had enough. It's time to go home," he said to me with a stern look on his face. I looked at him, I mean really looked at him, and for the first time in years, his face didn't irritate me. Maybe it was the alcohol; in that moment, he had the most handsome face I have ever laid my eyes on. A perfectly chiseled jaw, thick eyebrows, and beautiful gray eyes. When I saw him, my mood instantly changed, but in that moment, he made me feel warm inside somehow. Before I could fathom what I was saying, the words escaped my lips. "Kiss me..." With that, I saw a flicker in his eyes, as if I had just told him something unexpected, which wouldn't be wrong, considering that I didn't expect those words to come from me either, but somehow, I meant it. He looked into my eyes as if he was searching for something there, perhaps some kind of validation that I meant every word. " Little bunny, you're drunk," he said, calling me by a nickname he gave me when I was ten. I only had a few drinks. As a first-time drinker, I should be drunk, but it looks like I had a high tolerance for alcohol because I was very conscious. I wasn't even using my pheromones, it was all me. " I'm not..." I said, and hung my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to my face. " Little bunny, why would I kiss you?" he said, but his tone wasn't filled with any malice. Instead, it was low and gentle. " Because it's my birthday and you haven't given me a gift yet..." I said to him. " When did I ever say that I would give you a gift?" he asked; his eyes were soft and gentle. " Well, you have been leaving birthday presents on my balcony ever since I was ten. Of course, I know you have one for me," I said to him. He seemed surprised, because I was not supposed to know that he was the one who had been leaving presents all this time. " You know? How?" he asked. " No one would dare to enter my family's estate without an invitation, and you are the only one brave enough to climb over the wall and leave me a present," I said to him. I didn't get it; I still don't understand why he did that, because this guy used to fight me every chance he got; not just that, but he competed with me in everything. So over the years, we had become rivals, and yet he never failed to get me a birthday present. " So now what? Do you think I'm in love with you or something?" he said to me. " Aren't you?" I asked him; my tone was firm. " Andy, I think that you are drunk. Let's get you home before you start confessing your love to me," he said, dodging the question. This time, I didn't say anything. I pulled his face even closer to mine, and before he could even fathom what was happening, I crashed my lips into his. He didn't reject me; no, instead, he kissed me back. Well, I should have stopped there, but I didn't. Instead, I ended up at his house, in his bed, underneath his God-sculpted body as I dug my nails into his back and begging him to f**k me harder as the scent of our pheromones filled the air. Gone was the well-reserved Diandi heiress, gone was the good girl everyone wanted me to be. What happened? I wanted it, because, for the first time in my life, I had a choice, and my choice was him. My body didn't even feel like it was mine; Sebastian had me clutching his sheets, screaming his name, and even losing control under his touch. For a first-time experience, I had the time of my life. Hours later, we were out of breath, and he pulled me onto his chest. I was too tired to fight him off, too tired to even think about the situation I was in. I closed my eyes and let sleep take over me. I don't know when it was, but being the light sleeper that I was, I heard him talking in my sleep " You're mine now, Andy. I am never going to let you go..."
