Saved

The rain was getting heavier and the noise was getting louder. Daphne sat quietly in this cave; she loved the rain, even though it sapped her strength. She was looking out over the vines covering the edge of the cave. The splash of rain reminded her of Enzo again. She sat sadly. If she had the right to choose her mate, she would have chosen Enzo, but she didn't have that right. The Alpha King had taken it away from her. He was truly cruel, she thought. Ever since Bazzel had been drenched in the rain in the forest, the Diffen girl was smarter than he thought. He realized that she was probably even avoiding sleeping and being carefree these days. He thought he would once again go to those parts of the forest that he had left. A place where he had seen a lake of water but he hadn't looked further, thinking the Diffen avoided the water. This time he wanted to take this risk, he just had to wait for the rain to stop, which was getting intense. All night the cloud was raining heavily on the forest above the mountains. The water had turned every place into a river. She had sat carefully all night; she had not allowed the water to fall on herself. She kept her fence safe. She knew where she had mistaken, she will be caught immediately. She was grieved at Enzo’s death, but she didn't want to die without guilt. She had to prove herself innocent. She had no idea how she would do it. Right now she was in a dilemma about saving her life. There, sitting on a tree in the forest, Bazzel Raq was very tired. All the time he tried to find this Diffen girl but her fence was not broken. The morning light painted the trees and the ground with white light. The raindrops on the leaves glistened like dew. He straightened his stiff back and shook his head in frustration. He felt a strange helplessness, he knew that little Diffen was here, in this forest, watching him and laughing at his failure. He was furious at the idea. It was getting difficult to decide. Thinking about something, he looked back towards the forest where there was a lake of water. At once he stepped towards the lake. As the sun was drying up the water on his being, his speed was getting faster and faster. He stepped out into the open space at the end of the trees and looked everywhere. The clear blue water of the lake in front was sparkling in the light and surrounded by small interlocking mountains. He was looking at the spaces between the mountains in every direction. Seeing the sun rise out of her cave, Daphne yawned and stood up. Stepping outside, one foot had just come out of the vines laden with flowers when she caught sight of a tall man peeking from place to place in the mountains ahead and stopped. His distinctive black clothing indicated that he was a king’s soldier. Her eyes widened in fear. Without making a noise, very slowly she was slipping back. The man in front of him was now turning around and coming towards his cave. The way behind the cave opened into the open field. Even if she went out there, she would not find any place to hide. She was facing her death, despite her best efforts and running, despite her strength and ineffective siege, she was found. She was an ordinary werewolf who was going to be awarded a gruesome death on just one charge without guilt and she knew no one would raise a voice for her wrongful killing, not even Alpha Connor, who claimed to be her mate. "Come back right now, Buzzel, otherwise the whole kingdom will see the spectacle of your death." Suddenly, Buzzel heard a voice in his mind. He, who had reached the cave, was startled. He took a step back in a panic and ran towards the palace at lightning speed. Daphne, who took small steps, reached the back entrance of the cave. Before she could get out of the back and run across to save her life, the man standing across the cave retreated and then sped back. She sat down with trembling legs. Did she survive? It was certain to die and would have died if Alpha had not called him back at that moment. Little did he know he had saved his mate? At present she was saved, but this will happen next time too. She was his mate, the mate of the ruthless Alpha Connor. He had no idea where she was. He had forgotten about her. He was still unaware of that harsh reality. What if he knew? What would happen if he found out?
