Stand up comedy led to karaoke, which was an interesting thing to watch when people decided to include displays of magic like fireworks or to magically alter their voices. Apparently the rule of thumb for karaoke in this particular room of the bar was that you had to start singing with your natural voice before altering it to whatever voice you are going to sing most of the song in.
