EP 1: THE BILLIONAIRE HE CREATED
TRIGGER WARNING: REFERENCES TO PAST CHILD ABUSE
The boardroom was silent.
Not the peaceful kind of silence. The kind that happens right before someone’s life gets destroyed.
Sarah Vale sat at the head of the table in a $10,000 suit, watching her father’s oldest business partner sweat through his shirt. The man who’d once told a six-month-old baby she was worthless.
He didn’t recognize her. Of course he didn’t.
“Ms. Vale,” he stammered. “We can explain the accounting errors—”
“You don’t need to explain,” Sarah said, sliding a folder across the polished mahogany. “You need to sign.”
Inside: Proof she now owned 51% of Vale Industries. The company her father built after he left her to starve. The company he’d promised to his new family.
The company she just bought.
“You can’t do this,” the man whispered.
Sarah smiled. It didn’t reach her eyes. “He left me with nothing. I built an empire. Now I’m coming for his.”
Thirty years ago, she’d slept on cold dirt because he chose his new wife over his daughters. He told the courts her mother was “unstable.” He told Mary and baby Sarah they were “burdens.”
He was wrong about one thing: Burdens don’t disappear.
They come back to collect.
Her phone buzzed. A text from Mary: Dad knows you’re in town. He wants to meet.
Sarah stood, buttoning her jacket. “Tell my father I’ll see him soon. After I finish taking everything he loves.”
She walked out, heels clicking like a countdown.
Some men build daughters.
He built a billionaire.
And now he was going to watch her burn his world down.
