The story begins in the city of Chandigarh, where two best friends, Riya and Soniya, lived. Riya and Soniya have been very good friends since childhood. Soniya's mother passes away early in soniya's childhood, and her father remarries. Soniya belongs to a middle-class family, while Riya comes from a wealthy background with parents and a brother. Riya, without any arrogance, fulfills all of Soniya's needs, considering her more than friend.Soniya is like a sister for riya. As they grow older, Riya's confidence contrasts with Soniya's simplicity. Riya teaches Soniya various skills like riding a cycle and a scooter. Despite their different family backgrounds, their bond remains strong. Soniya, a straightforward girl, contrasts Riya's confident and fearless nature. Their interests diverge as well. Soniya aspires to study arts and dreams of opening her own cooking classes or a hotel. On the other hand, Riya dreams of becoming a doctor. Despite pursuing different paths to fulfill their dreams, they never forget to meet and share their daily experiences after college. The essence of their relationship lies in the constant support, sharing, and caring they have for each other, making their journey towards achieving their dreams even more meaningful. Riya was pursuing a medical degree, while Soniya was completing her degree in arts. One day, while sitting in the park, Soniya, asked Riya what she would do if she had to make a decision that Riya didn't like. She questioned whether Riya would continue to love her as much as she does now or forget about her. Riya, who was on the verge of becoming a doctor, replied that she didn't want to answer such a question because she knew Soniya wouldn't make any decision that she wouldn't like. Suddenly, Soniya's expression changed as she remembered that she was in love with a guy named Rajesh from her college and wanted to marry him. However, she recalled Riya's disapproval of Rajesh and her request to stay away from him. Soniya wanted to discuss her marriage decision with Riya, but after hearing Riya's response, she couldn't say anything. Soniya believed that Riya would never give her permission to marry Rajesh. Riya asked why Soniya was bringing this up now. Soniya replied, "Just felt like asking," and both friends went back to their respective homes. Later, at Soniya's home, only her stepmother, who loved her despite being a stepmother, was present. Soniya discussed her feelings for Rajesh and the desire to marry him with her stepmother. Upon witnessing Soniya's love for Rajesh, the stepmother granted her permission . Soniya's wedding is finalized, but Riya remains unaware. One day, Soniya, along with Rajesh, visits Riya's house to invite her parents and bring Riya along for the wedding. Despite her mother's reassurances, Riya remains adamant about stopping the wedding, believing Rajesh is not the right person for Soniya. Archna is shocked by Riya's revelation and urges her to trust Soniya's choice.
