My boss arrived few minutes past twelve like he promised. Immediately he arrived, he summoned me into his office. "Please, go over to Mr Baker's office and give him this document. Tell him I need his signature right now. Wait to collect it back" he said, handing over some documents to me. "Alright sir" I said, collecting the documents and leaving his office. On my way to Mr Baker's office, my heart started skipping and I became conscious of my dressing. I stopped at the restroom to calm my nerves. I looked into the mirror to see if my hair needed combing. I have straight black hair that reaches my waist whenever I let it down. But it was in a tight bun today and I applied a little mascara and lined my brows this morning. I am 5'5 on a normal day without heels and i have a slim waist, little hips, little ass and boobs. i guess you can call me petite. I have naturally brown eyes but today I wore an ocean blue contact lens. I use glasses whenever I am home reading or working but whenever I step out of my house, i find that contact lens is more comfortable. I had on a little nude lipstick and wore a little rim earring. I wore a navy blue top and skirt that looks like a gown if you don't look closely. The top was a crop top and the skirt was high waist. I wore a 4 inch cream stiletto.
When I was calm enough, I walked out of the restroom and went to Mr Baker's office. I met his assistant and she called him to let him know I was here to see him. She gave me the go ahead and i walked into the office. "Good morning sir" I said, stopping in front of his desk. "Good morning Errm. Mabel right?" He asked looking up from his computer. "Yes sir, Mabel " I replied, disappointed that he didn't even remember my name. "Alright Mabel, you can have your sit" he said, pointing at the chairs in front of him. I sat down and said "Mr Kobe needs your signature on these documents." He already continued working on his system. He stretched his hands to collect the documents. While he was reading the documents he tried making conversation. "When did you start working for Mr Kobe? cos I haven't seen you anywhere before the wedding " he said. " I started working here early this month. You haven't seen me before the party?" I said, trying not to sound disappointed. "Erm, no. The first time I saw you was at the party" he looked up from the documents. "That reminds me, why did you run away when I asked for your name at the party?" He asked raising his brows. I was really hoping he forgot about that. "I remembered I had something to do. Work related. it was coincidental - nothing to worry about" I said convincingly. " oh okay. I thought I did something wrong " he said, putting his pen down and closing the files. "Not at all " I replied forcing a smile. "How are you enjoying yourself here? I mean at this company" he asked gesturing to the office. "Mr Kobe is a nice boss so I have actually enjoyed working with him" I replied, smiling for real this time. I imagined that this work was going to be really hectic but surprisingly Mr Kobe doesn't have issues. He doesn't require me working during the weekends which is a miracle for an assistant. "Good to hear" he said. "I am done with the documents" he added pushing the documents towards me. I was too engrossed in the conversation that I didn't notice when he finished. "Alright sir" I said taking the documents from the table and standing up. I started walking towards the door. "Mabel, you look good" he said smiling. "Thank you sir" I said, blushing. He knew he got to me so he smirked. I turned around and walked out of his office.
I smiled all the way to my boss's office and knocked. I didn't wait to hear a reply. I was still thinking of what Mr Baker(Liam) said when I walked in. Immediately I walked in, I saw my dad seated.
"Dad, what are you doing here?" I asked, alarmed. He didn't mention that he was coming to my office so why was he here? "I just came to say hi to my friend and surprise you" he said pointing to my boss and me. "Consider me surprised" I said, walking over to my boss. "These are the documents." I said, dropping them on his table. "Thanks dear" he said, opening the documents. "Why not join your dad and I for lunch?" My boss said, putting the Documents in his drawer. "I already had Lunch." I replied. "Well, just join us and have a drink or something " he said, standing up. I was about to argue. "That isn't a request Mabel" he said, looking stern. "Alright sir, let me just grab my bag from my office" I said to him, trying not to get him angry. "We will wait downstairs for you" my dad said, turning around to leave. They both left the office and i followed behind to go grab my bag. I got to my office arranged my table well, grabbed my bag and headed downstairs to meet them.
