Chapter four: meeting my new siblings

Asher's pov

”Asher meet Rosalina your new step sister" those words echoed in my ears as I bit my teeth in anger, he had both my brother and I with my mom, we were the heir to his empire he couldn't just get married to her, instead he went to another f**king continent, to marry another woman who he just met, in 3 months,

When his driver called in sick, Angel didn't even bother to wonder how they were going to come home, it fell on me to drive them home, if not I wouldn't be here right now, all these thiughts were running through my head, as they all settled into the car with my dad sitting in front, and the other imposters at the back, I didn't say a word as I deove in silence, I couldn't help but notice that it seemed like the girl was feeling some tension about the wholw thing.

Rosalinas pov

The car pulled up into a very huge and beautiful house, it was tr biggest building around the vicinity, it got me wondering what Adrian does because even the car that Asher used in picking us up, looked very fancy and expensive, I wasn't any where close to an expert in cars but I could tell that this car would cost a lot of money.

He parked the car in a parking lot that had a huge tarpolin on top of it, there were 3 other cars parked there, all fancy cars. We all cane down but before I could grab my luggage three people all dressed up in a black and white uniform approached us they looked like maids in the house, there were two ladies and one guy, they hurriedly took the bags and was all set to run into the building, “Gladys show Rosalina to her room" My mom said, “gladly, Mrs Demi" she said, is that how close she was already with the staffs, it bothered me, because she hadnt been to America ever since my dad was alive.

Although she was from here, that also made me part American, I hadn't thought about that until now, “follow me" Gladys beconed towards me and I followed, “its good to be home" my mom said as she stretched out her hands, and Adrian took them, “everythung worked out in the end didn't....." I was out of earshot, I was confused non of what they were saying made any sense to me, well it's not my business to begin with so I didn't care.

When I got into the living room, my breath was taken away, the living room was so large, it was intimidating, all the curtains were royal blue, big beautiful paintings hung on the wall, I was admiring one of a semi nude woman, when my eyes caught some one walking towards the exit of the living room, it was Asher,

But he was still outside when I left them, if he had come in he would've been behind me. I noticed a cross tattoo on the side of his neck, Asher didn't have that or I probably didn't look, or this is his twin brother Angel, yeah that made more sense, he didn't raise his eye a bit to look at my direction, he felt colder than Asher and that gave me slight chills. We climbed through a flight of stairs and got to a corridor with only one door in it, that was surprising usually walkways like this used to have multiple doors around it, “this is the room that monsieur Adrian said that I should, prepare for you" she said handing a key over to me, her accent was french, I collected it from her and opened the door, revealing the most beautiful room I had ever seen in my life.

It was big and spacious, it has a big bed at the centre if the room, there was a gold chandelier, hanging from the middle of the room, my mouth dropped open, this room was unbelievable, the yellow pained walls contrasted with the gold curtains, and the almost gold chandelier gave the entire room an ethereal look. I was glad that Gladys wasn't watching me because the way I looked around was something you could call an i***t.

I walked up to the closet and pulled it open, it was empty but it was as big as my room when I was still in Mexico, I closed the doors back. I went closer to the door where my suit case was, I carried it and dropped on the bed, I opened it and the first thing that stared at me was a photograph of my dad, I stared at it and immediately his memories came flooding back, I remembered the fire and how his face looked when those burning embers fell on him, “dad"

Angel's pov

I was sitting down on my bed, looking at the ceiling, counting the number of sparkles on the chandelier, when my phone gave a buzzing sound, I looked at the caller id it was our fense out there in the black market, a dense is like a middle man between us the supplier and the customers who use our products. I picked up the call sharply, without saying a word, “im going to need 10 pounds of the merchandise later tonight, don't get caught, the money is waiting" he ended the call.

I stood up and wore my jacket, I heard the roar of a car engine, I looked down from my window and I saw Asher's car parked in the parking lot, the back door opened and I saw a young lady, and the other parts were covered by the tarpolin that covered the top of the Parking lot. I didn't know who she was but I had a suggestion of who she was.

I grabbed my coat, and and my car keys and left my room, I was walking down the flight of stairs, staring at my phone, I was in the living room heading out when I spotted Gladys and the girl with her luggage, I didn't raise my head up, but I just kept in walking, I caught her features in a quick glance, I think that's what made me good in our line of work, I could easily read people, without looking at them much.

I got outside and met Asher and my dad standing outside, “Asher we've got a job, in heading there now, when you are done you could come along I would need all the help that I can get" I said and was about walking away, “Angel are you just gonna walk away without saying hi to your dad and your mother" Adrian said.

“STEP-MOTHER!" I said really strongly, as a flash if anger flared up in my eyes, I adjusted my cloak, making sure that my glock was still in place, although I wouldn't mind using it to end this woman he called my step mother right now. I walked away from them and headed into my royal blue jaguar, sitting in the parking lot waiting for me to drive it.

Ashers pov

He started the ignition and drove off, that was Angel for you he never spoke much, except when he was angry, “dont worry babe, he'll warm up to you" Adrian said as he held unto Demi and they walked into the building with me watching them from behind, I just scoffed, as if that was going to happen, i got into my car and drove off after Angel.

When I arrived where Angels gps was indicating that he was, I heard several gunshots and police sirens blaring, “s**t!" I exclaimed, what the hell was happening here....
