A werewolves bite
Today my life completely changed... Before I get into that let's go back to when it all began. 5 years ago: "How many times do I have to tell you, Harry..." I waved my hand to cut him off before he draws attention to us. "Keep your voice down," I whispered to him as I peered around the tree for a better view of the building ahead. It looked abandoned, dark and silent... What I was interested in was what was going down in the basement. "Follow me..." I pointed towards the wall nearby and motioned for Cameron to follow. "I still don't understand why we're here?..." Cameron questions quietly this time hoping to avoid another stern look from myself. "There's clearly no one here harry its..." I cut him off a second time as the front door opened revealing a golden glow probably made by the dim broken lights. The figure stood in the doorway revealing the silhouette of his muscular outline. He exited the front door followed by another man. This one was smaller than the first guy and seemed to follow as if the larger guy was more superior. "Jack!..." the larger guy shouted, clearly angry at the smaller grunt. "I told you not to leave the gate open!" The smaller of the two nervously bowed and his response showing his fear. "I'm... I'm sorry Gregor" his voice was shaky and fell off as if he knew speaking was the wrong choice. The larger brute started to walk towards the parked Range Rover before suddenly halting and sniffing the air. I was confused at first until I realised what he was doing... The larger man, known as Gregor, turned directly towards us and glared into the darkness behind us. You see Cameron is a Witch... he doesn't like that word and prefers the term Warlock. Although an apprentice, he was fairly common with the simple cloaking spells. He had cloaked us before we arrived and luckily he was trained enough to keep the spell going for this long. Gregor turned back towards the Range Rover and opened the front door slamming it before speeding off. "The coast is clear," I said pulling myself up over the wall landing on both feet with a thud. Cameron followed and we entered the building... The stairs leading to the basement were creaky and felt like they could break at any wrong step. I told Cameron to explore upstairs to make sure that there was no one else around and to look for any clues to help us with who the two men, Jack and Gregor, were. "Hello?... my voice echoed throughout the dark and empty basement. Reaching the bottom of the stairs I noticed something at the far end of the room. Chains, maybe? The only light coming into the room was the moonlight through the basement window which lit up the chest of the figure... He seemed to be chained to the wall. His chest moving in and out faintly. He was alive, but barely. The two men must have brought him here... why? His body began to shift and turn. He looked uncomfortable and his body began to twitch. I've seen this before... he was turning. Soon he would lose control of himself. There was nothing I or he could do. He was going to turn and I had to leave... NOW. His arms and legs became disfigured as he turned and changed into a wolf-like figure... a werewolf. I turned and ran towards the stairs. I made it up the first two before the third one broke causing me to fall backwards, down the stairs. I crashed into the floor and hit my head on the cold concrete. I became dizzy and the world around me became distant like I was floating like everything was moving twice as fast. I steadied myself on the nearby wall and peered back towards the chains. They were broken and the guy or whatever he was, wasn't there. That's when I felt it. Pain like nothing I've ever felt before. I crumpled over and crashed to the floor again. This time I knew I wasn't getting back up. I heard a loud crash as the wolf-like creature broke through the basement window and fled into the surrounding forest. "Harry!" I heard Cameron shout as he flew down the stairs. The last thing I saw before it faded to complete darkness was his face, horrified, as he knew what had happened and what the werewolf bite meant
