200 years ago:
The small village was under siege. Buildings were on fire. The whole village was panicking as the invading forces approached and stormed the northern part of the village. The fires blazed as tall as the buildings themselves. The village wasn't going to ever recover from the battle that took place.
The leader of the invading army was a man named Alaric the Great. His greatest asset, other than his supreme knowledge of battle tactics, was the fact that he was the strongest werewolf in the world. He slayed all that opposed him. From the other alphas and their packs, to the innocent who didn't want to follow his orders. He even killed his own family. They were weak in his eyes. His father. an alcoholic who beat him when he was younger, was the first to get it. He killed his father in a revenge lead attack across his hometown. He struck down his mother with little sympathy for leaving him with his abusing father. He slaughtered his own brothers and sisters out of jealousy for their perfect lives. He was hell-bent on gaining all the power in the world. His massive ego, pride and confidence aided him fairly.
Whilst Alaric the Great invaded village after village and town after town, destroying farms along the way, a small village, not seen on most maps, was preparing their best fighters. An army of a couple hundred vs an army of around 500 thousand. Their fighters were trained every day for the last 10 years, preparing for something like this. I don't think they were expecting it to ever happen. This village had a plan. There was one werewolf who could stop this mad wolf, Alaric, from his devastation. Thought to have been born from the elder wolves themselves, this wolf had secret powers. Hidden abilities that made her special. She was known as the invisible wolf. This is because she had the ability to disappear. There are several theories that suggest how and why she can do this. Some ranging from ideas that her fur can camouflage into any surrounding environment. Other theories suggest she can manipulate peoples minds into thinking there is no one there, allowing her to pass by. None of those is true. The truth is that this wolf is able to travel between realms. More specifically, she is able to travel to the spirit realm and back. This takes incredible strength and effort so its not something she can do on a regular basis.
The invisible wolf was also known as Catherine Rose. She was an 11-year-old girl. She was found on the steps of an old warlocks house when she was only 6 months old. He took her in and gave her a home. On her 8th birthday, she starting showing signs of being a werewolf. The old man, being a warlock, knew everything about the supernatural and was able to keep her hidden from the outside world. She grew up and trained every day with the warlock. Learning to control her urges to feed, controlling her heightened senses and learning when to use her powers.
When the murderous Alaric started his rampage across the globe, the warlock used most of the strength he had left to cloak the entire village. He wanted to delay Alaric as long as possible so he could explain to Catherine what she had to do. Catherine was quick to help.
Now that the time had come, the warlock lifted the cloaking spell and prepared for the battle of all battles. The village was heavily guarded. Using around half of their troops to defend the outer walls whilst the other half defended Catherine and the warlock. Their attempts at fighting were futile as Alaric's forces stormed into the village and surrounded the great hall where Catherine, the warlock and the few remaining forces were held up. As Alaric prepared to force his way into the great hall, the warlocks final step of the plan was falling into place.
"Bring me the girl!" Alaric's voice boomed across the great hall as the doors crashed open and the last few remaining soldiers were slaughtered, without mercy.
Alaric walked over to where the warlock was laid and laughed at the man who fooled him once.
"Where's the girl old t**t?" Alaric was soaked in the blood of the soldiers he had just murdered.
"Fool you once shame on you... fool you twice... shame on you still..." The old warlock smirked as he waved his hand. The cloaking spell he had placed on Catherine was undone and Catherine landed on the shoulders of Alaric. Using all her might and willpower she disappeared into the spirit realm, along with Alaric the great...
Until his release, we can only hope another Invisible Wolf will be ready and trained.
