Blake had thought he would spend Sunday alone. To his surprise, just half an hour after Lila and James had left for their lunch date, his phone rang. "Annette?" he said, puzzled. "You don't usually ring on a weekend." "Maybe not," her familiar husky voice returned. "I was just wondering if you were up for lunch?" Blake's eyes narrowed in suspicion immediately. "Did you happen to be up to any scheming plots with James recently?" Laughter from the other end of the line. "I wouldn't exactly call it scheming... But James did call me last night to say that he was taking your new fiancee out, and he suggested we have a talk at the same time. You're so hard to get a hold of most days, you know." A small pause. "Or should I say, your fake fiancee?" "James is a huge blabbermouth," Blake rolled
