Lila had developed a habit recently, Blake realised. Instead of sitting around at home in pent up nervousness before any social event she was supposed to attend with him, she had taken to going out around the city and the coast. He thought it was a nice change- to him, at least, it showed that she was becoming more comfortable in her role, with the proceedings, and didn’t feel like she needed to be stressed over every tiny little detail.
Today she had gone to a mall on the other side of the city. Blake checked the clock hanging on the kitchen wall- it was still a little early. On the other hand, it might be nice to have a bit of down time with her before they went to dinner with his siblings, just be able to steal some more time with her.
