The rest of the session was fun, enough to take Lila's mind off the upcoming events. She liked playing with the various colours in the palettes, liked learning what Margaret had to say about skincare and makeup and hair, and all that stuff. Sure, it might have seemed superficial to some, but the attention Margaret paid to every detail was just astounding. Lila thought it was a pity, that people outside of the field didn't often appreciate what artistry went into even simple makeup, how much thought and care was put into making a person feel and look their best, whether it was just for daily life or for a special event.
She came away with pages of notes on what to do and what colours suited her, as well as a shopping bag full of items Margaret had thought would suit her best.
