Letting go of Blake’s hand, Lila ran forward to hug Bailey, catching her and wrapping her arms around her tightly.
”Sorry,” she said softly, and Bailey hugged her back.
”It’s okay. I already forgave you when you messaged.”
It took a moment for them to separate, and when they did, Bailey couldn’t help the smile on her lips.
”So... The two of you got together?”
Blake nodded, at the same time Lila said, ”All thanks to you.”
”Thanks to me?”
”Yeah.” Lila glanced back at Blake, then back to her best friend. ”I couldn’t stop thinking about what you said, about taking a leap of faith. I was really mad you brought up the job hunt, but when it mattered most, I thought about your advice. And it worked out. So. Thank you.”
