PROLOGUE
"It's about time for me to leave. I can feel it," Falter Breech said, folding his arms.
"Remember, don't leave your girlfriend with a empty hand. Leave something to continue the family name, like a child. The next generation after this one should be just like you. The Breech's," the dragon said. "Have you chosen your dragon keeper yet?"
Shaking his head, Falter prepared to answer. "No, but I am near a decision. Has a female ever been chosen to be a dragon keeper?" he asked. "No, never. Why do you ask?" the dragon asked. "My dragon side is female while I am a male. I just wonder what would happen," Falter said and looked up. With the dragon seeing he was lost in thought, he took his leave.
The dragon left, which meant Falter could now get some peace and quiet. But before he could finish anything he needed to straighten some things out. 'There shouldn't be any chaos,' Falter thought. He could just imagine history changing and surely hoped the next dragon keepers in line would do his bidding.
Taking a swing at the dais, there wasn't any shifts yet. Now he could go on another stroll for a new dragon keeper before starting the grieving process of knowing he wouldn't live soon after. Order should stay in place. There didn't seem to be any signs of change and the next person will learn what to do. Why couldn't he help? Oh yeah, now Falter remembered. They are supposed to develop their strength on their own just like he did. Maybe talking to the person who he could choose wouldn't be a problem seeing as it didn't go against the rules.
Seeing a little flicker of light cover some darkness Falter frowned. He had expected it, the early dawn of peace. He'd make sure it was fixed before he left.
