Roman right after I asked him to. He understood how important it was for me to assume the position of Alpha on my own. If he would have stayed too long, it would have undermined my position to the pack, making it harder to get them to follow me.
Interviews for ranked positions went fairly smoothly. There were, inevitably, some who showed up that were hostile over having a female Alpha, and some who tried to use the interview as a way to challenge me. However, I was able to send the majority of them away without incident. Every time someone entered the office, I sensed their feelings and intentions. If they were there just to cause trouble, they would quickly be turned away.
