Roman POV*
Perry and I had been talking about our new guest when Sita barged through the door. She of course started laughing and had that audacity to have Arden stick up for her.
“So, Arden.” I started, looking down at the papers in front of me instead of at the woman who made me feel a sense of comfort that made me extremely uncomfortable. “I probably should have asked, but I did some digging on you.”
“You what!?” she yelled, making me look up to see her staring at me with fury in her eyes. “Why would you go looking into my background? I didn’t even want to come here in the first place. I’ve told you everything you needed to know about the danger I’m in, as well as warned you what my presence might bring to your pack. I was upfront about everything you needed to know.
