Episode 5 – The Office Storm
Zara wasn’t ready for the war that walked into her office at 9 a.m. sharp.
Ethan Knight.
In a perfectly tailored suit. Hair slicked back. Jaw tight. And rage flashing in those grey eyes.
"Who gave you permission to pitch my company to that magazine?" he asked, voice low but dangerous.
Zara didn’t flinch. "I did my job. And they loved the idea."
"I didn’t approve it," he said, stepping closer. "You don’t get to make decisions for Knight Empire."
"You hired me to fix your brand. That means making bold moves," she shot back, chin raised.
Their faces were inches apart now. Tension thickened the air like a brewing thunderstorm. Her heart pounded—not just from anger. From something she didn’t want to name.
He leaned in closer. "You’re playing with fire, Zara."
She swallowed. "Then maybe it’s time you learned to burn."
A long silence. His gaze dropped to her lips for just a second—too long. She turned away fast, pretending she hadn’t noticed.
"Meeting starts in ten," she said, heading to the boardroom. "Try to keep your ego outside."
Ethan’s voice followed her. "Try not to fall in love with me, Zara. I bite."
She didn’t look back, but her smirk said everything
