Prologue
At the execution ground in the kingdom of Leigh, more than half of the villagers, elite, vampires, witches, and humans gathered along with people from neighboring kingdoms to witness something that would occur only once in a lifetime… so they believed.
Fallen goddess Ravessia, considered dangerous and powerful amongst all other fallen gods and goddesses, was chained in the middle of an elevated podium with blood dripping from every cut on her body. Even in her pathetic state, she had a smile on.
She had caused multiple deaths and chaos within and outside the empire that the people could only be delighted at her current state.
Her tongue had been cut off so many times to keep her shut as she did nothing but spout nonsense and curses on the land, but it grew back in minutes.
Surprisingly, she had finally kept quiet, like she was reserving her speech for great news.
Her eyes searched the crowd looking for someone. She found the person and her smile widened.
A little girl stared at her with curiosity.
“Mama..” the little girl tugged at the dress of her mother who was standing beside her.
“Yes, Eve”
“She is hurt,” Little Eve whispered.
Alice spared a last look at the goddess before turning to her daughter.
“Hmm, let us go, your father would not be happy if he finds us here.”
She pulled the little girl’s hand, pushing through the crowd of villagers as she headed out of the execution ground.
At that same time, multiple Elite carriages drove into the ground and stopped in the middle.
The chatters of the villagers ceased as one of the carriage doors was opened for the Emperor of the Empire of Ash to step down.
The kings of the four Kingdoms in Ash also stepped down, followed by some members of the high council.
In a few minutes, other carriages drove onto the ground.
This time, the Emperors and Empresses of other Empires stepped down.
The sight of them made a dry chuckle escape Ravessia’s bloody lips.
At the side of the podium, stood the Lord who had captured her, Lord Kael.
The wind brushed softly against his silver hair as he kept his eyes on the goddess.
In no time, the execution process began.
The herald started,
“Today, before the eyes of the empire and under the judgment of the high Council, we gather to deliver justice upon the one who has defied the laws of the lands. For the countless sacrifices offered in the name of darkness, the lives taken in her pursuit of power, the destruction of sacred lands, the corruption of divine law, and the bloodshed she has brought upon the innocent, she has been found guilty.” Ravessia laughed out loud at his words. Such judging words from the script of corrupt beings …she thought.
The Herald continued, “For these crimes and countless others, the sentence has been passed. By the decree of the high Council, her life shall be forfeit. Let all who stand witness remember this day. The fallen goddess shall be slain.”
An uproar of agreement rose from the crowd of villagers and ceased when Lord Kael hopped on the elevated podium with a sword in his hand.
His red pupils stared into her cold amber eyes before walking to her side.
“Any last words Ravessia?” He raised the sword.
“Yes My Lord”
“Speak”
“You may kill me now, but I assure you this is not the end.” She spoke loud enough for most people close by to hear.
“I shall rest and wait… for my daughter shall revive me.”
An uproar rose again at the sudden news. Never had they heard about the goddess having a child.
“Even at the point of death, you choose to speak rubbish,” the head of the high council, Lord Leonard, spoke this time.
“If you do not believe, you will lose and if you believe, you will still lose,” she coughed at the end.
“Kill her,” Lord Leonard demanded in anger.
Lord Kael wasted no time passing the sword through her neck. Her head rolled off the podium and stopped in front of one of the villagers.
The deceased's head still had its eye open with a smile on, causing the villager to scream.
…..
As years passed, the words of Ravessia were not taken lightly, nor were they taken seriously. Due to that, the high council was on a quiet look out for her supposed daughter.
Soon, fourteen years passed by.
