The dragon within

   In 3 more months I'll have been down in this hell for 3 years. 3 f*****g years. I used to be so innocent and pure with not a dark thought one but here lately they've been coming into my head more and more. I don't like to think of Gage and Stephen winning but I don't know how much longer I can hold out. Maybe I should go ahead and agree to the marking so i can end my suffering. I stare out the barred windows letting the sun wash over me. The way the warmth kisses my skin helps to calm my nerves a bit. I watch the tree tops sway from the breeze. My gaze wonders towards the wooded floor. Oh how i wish I was out there running around with the other animals. I haven't got to let Malya out in a long time. She's only shifted twice since we've been locked up and both times there were sever consequences. I see a little auburn head peak around the trees and I know exactly who it is and it warms my heart to see her. Little Charlotte is the only one who's came to visit since I've been here. She can't be but 8 years old tops but she had the fight of a warrior and i love it. She looks around the place to make sure the coast is clear and she is sprinting to my window. She's always so raggedy looking but I'm not sure if it's due to her trying to camouflage herself or if her parents just can't afford it. She wears a army green stocking cap, a brown blanket around her shoulders green combat pants and black combat boots. It always amuses me because she always looks like she rolls in the dirt first with a twig or a leaf in her hair. 

   "What are you doing little Charlotte? I don't want to see you get in trouble again." My heart sinks remembering her screams of pain when they flogged her for wanting to "see the pretty lady" as she put it. 

   "I wanted to give a pretty flower to the pretty lady." She says and I can't help but smile. This is the reason I fight against Gage so hard because as long as I don't give in he had no authority over the others. While I'm standing there conversating a breeze comes by and with it is carrying the most wonderful sent of charred oak, musk and pine. Malya started jumping around in my head yelling "Mate! He's here. Mate!" I don't look over though until I finish my conversation. I feel my smile start to falter as I watch her leave thinking about my mate. I know he can't help me the best thing for him to do was to reject me to ease the horrors of what happens down here. 

   "You shouldn't be here." I told him. I seen Stephen and Gage coming up the path and I knew what was about to happen. "Why's that?" He questions I go to set in my bed as my heart sinks because of what he's about to see. " No ones mate should have to see what you're about to." I say as I lay back and stare at the ceiling. He doesn't say anything else because we hear the door to the dungeons open and it startles him. I tune out the rest because if he's to reject me I can't bare to hear the words. 

   Gage and Stephen open the cell door then close it behind them. Gage then climbs on top of me and Stephen starts playing with my breast. When Gage kisses me and i don't kiss back he smacks me in the face. I see my mate still standing there watching in horror and for some reason the only thought that occurred to me was I didn't even get his name. Oh well I guess I'll never know because the way he just ran out of here I'm sure I'll never know.  He won't be back. That's when a second smack came bringing me back to reality. "Why don't you kiss me back you little w***e we've been through this before and had no problems until 2 months ago" he stated and he's right. I just have up but little Charlotte had given me a reason to fight for but I won't tell them that. His eyes grow large like he figured something out which i guess he kinda did to an extent. "You've found your mate haven't you?" He asks. The question did shock me but i didn't let him know. I just kept staring at him. He starts to laugh and says that he may not become the full alpha until i mark him but if he marks me it might give me a little off his strength but it will also ward off my mate or anyone else who looks at me all the while Stephen is still sucking on my breast until Gage smacks Stephen in the back of the head. Finally he got the hint and left the cell leaving Gage and I by ourselves. 

   Gage is still on top of me and his breath is making me nauseous. He then starts kissing my neck and i haven't fought back in a long time but the thought of him marking me was enough to spark a fight. As he was kissing my neck I was feeling around for anything to help me escape when I felt a small pin at the head of my bed. Now I know a pin isn't going to kill a werewolf but I'm hoping that it'll be enough for a distraction to get him off me. So i grab it in my right hand and stab him as hard as I could. There was a look of shock on his face and he put his hand to his neck. He got up off of me and stumbled back. Stephen is fumbling with the keys and he's so worried about Gage he forgot to shut the door so yes I did. I seize my moment and I take off like a bat out of hell. I let malya take control so when I jump we're shifting in the air. I make it to the square where the damn poles are no longer poles but pillars and there is blood everywhere. It's then I realize even if i escape my people... my pack will still be suffering so instead of going any farther I lift my head up to the sky and let out a mighty howl to let the town know that I am still there with them until a gaurd comes up behind me and hits me in the head. That's when my work turned black.
