The dragon within

   I woke up to someone whispering my name "Joslin... JOSLIN!" I begin to stir but I hurt so bad I can't hardly move but i open my eyes and lay there. "Oh thank goodness you're awake you've been out for 2 days! I've been trying to keep the people away from here so they don't get in trouble." I slowly come to a sitting position to see who could possibly be bugging me when I meet the most beautiful green eyes. Like the color of a blue pine tree I didn't think he'd come back but it's nice to see him. He steps closer to the cell and for some reason I feel like something is pulling me towards him so I slowly get up and step closer. When we both reach the bars he puts his arms through the bars and pulls me in to hug him. I'm not sure whether it was the tingles or the genuine concern but for the first time in forever I finally break down fall to the ground and cry so hard i begin to shake uncontrollably. "Shhh love I'm here. I know i can't get you out yet but I assure you there is a plan in motion just hold on a little longer." He says while stroking my head. I just feel like a fog is taking control of me all of my emotions are leaving.  "I don't know how much longer I can hold on." I say. He held me back to look into my eyes and tells me never to talk like that again but he can tell I can't hear much so he sighs and says "can you give me 3 more months?" It makes me think... can I give him 3 months? What's the worse that can happen? 

   "My birthday is August, 11th... I can wait till then." I say in defeat. He then pulls me back into him and says a thank you and we sit there for a little longer; when it dawns on me "What's your name? "I ask without looking up. I'm just listening to his heart until he says his name is Leon West. I'm filled with shock "you mean like samuel West?..." i see his eyes fill with pride "yes he was my father" I  nod remembering the horrific event and shudder. I hate to do it but I pull from his embrace i don't want him getting caught like this it would only get him in trouble. I stand up from the floor and dust the dirt of me. When I turn around he's staring at me in adoration. That's new I've seen lust quite often but it's been years since I've seen anything else. It was nice but a little uncomfortable at the same time. I think he could tell because he averted his eyes and got up off the floor. I then seen someone else come to the window and it startled me. Matter of fact there were 3 of them. My little Charlotte had brought company. 2 little boys both close to her age. 

   "Charlotte what are you doing!?!" I say with big eyes "putting yourself in danger is one thing but putting others in danger is not ok!" I start to scold. I was then interrupted by what like to be the oldest of the boys. If you think about it they dressed similar and looked to be related.  "Please ma'am don't be upset we begged her. My brother and I have heard about your strength from our mother." Charlotte isn't allowed in the town itself but we sneak her food when we can but when she said she knew where you were we had to see for ourselves." His brother is nodding his head in agreement. 

   "Well i appreciate the company but I don't want to see any of you hurt so I need you to go." I say trying to get them out of here. Charlotte doesn't say a thing she just hands me a dandelion through the bars. 

   "We will be back again mother is going to be thrilled to know you've been found." Says the oldest. 

   "Hey what are you kids doing!?!" I see their eyes grow the size of saucers thinking they got caught and i watch being amused to see them scurry off. I'm glad that Leon did scare them though because if they would had stood around much longer I'm sure they would had been caught.  "Thank you" I say and I can feel the smile still dancing in my eyes. 

   "I can't blow my cover quite yet but soon" he says with a smile. "There are more people than you realize who are rooting for you." There's a comfortable silence that falls between us until my stomach started growling. Now they don't really starve me because they don't want me to lose my figure. They don't give me as much as they should for my wolf but they feed me enough to sustain my human form but since I was out for 2 days you can guess that's enough to make anyone hungry. Leon reaches through the bars to give me his sandwich. "No leon I can't do that. What if you get caught?" Still holding it out he says "well you better eat fast" with that statement i ate the sandwich within seconds. He then passes a water bottle though the bars and i greedily take it and drink that down with in seconds too. "You are too good for me" realizing how true that is. I mean he's been here the passed 3 days watching over me and now he's feeding me which could cost him his life. 

   "I'm not good enough for if I was you'd be on the other side of those bars" He says as he lifts my face to his. I look up into his beautiful eyes once again. I was trying to refrain myself from doing so but I couldn't help but stand on my toes to reach up and give him a small peck. He looks at me in shock but quickly recovers and kisses me back but with his kiss there was more. I was used to the hard possessive ones but this was different. It was firm but gentle. Caring but he didn't try to dominate. He initiated the kiss but he let me lead. I haven't been in control like that in... well I've never had this kind of control and I relished in it. When We finally pulled back we were both breathing heavy. He looked at his watch.

   "I've got to go." He said "but you don't have to worry about Gage for atleast another couple days" i watch him in confusion while a smile crosses his face "you really are dangerous with a pen huh?" I start to blush I  never thought he'd hear about that. "I'll be back tomorrow and maybe we can feed you enough to get your wolf up and fighting again while he's gone. He then grabs my chin and says "be strong my love we will get you out of here." I nod my head letting him know I'll be fine when the question popped into my head... who's we?
