Conrad's POV
I laid in bed naked with Avery tucked under my arm. She was now sound asleep after several rounds of trying for that baby. I wanted to give her another chance at this. Hell, I wanted another chance. I wanted to be a father, but only to her children. I was so mad at her when I got her text message that I dropped everything and got on the first flight out here. She had left her phone off the entire time, but I knew which hotel she would go to because it was the only nice one, they had in this town. It cost me five hundred dollars and a lot of bribing to get her room number, but the guy at the desk finally gave in.
It took me a long time to finally fall asleep. My mind wouldn't shut off. I kept thinking about everything that had happened to us and how we had come out stronge
