Avery's POV It took me an hour to convince Conrad that I was fine, and he needed to go to work. It wasn't a complete lie. I was better than yesterday, but I wasn't fine, and I wouldn't be until I had it out with my mother. That is why I needed him to leave so I could get to the airport.
