Conrad's POV We walked out of the police station and Avery was floating on clouds. Her name had been cleared. The new detective that was assigned to the case for reasons they wouldn't say, but after his explanation, it sounded like they were on Ryder's payroll, and they were helping him out. Some things were not adding up completely because Ryder said he was trying to pin the murder on me, but the detective was trying to pin it on Avery. Unfortunately, we will never get those answers either, since Ryder died.
