Enter Dominic Thorne, the "Black King" of the business world and Jude’s most dangerous rival.Dominic is cold, calculating, and has his own dark reasons for wanting to see Jude fall. He offers Sarah a devil’s bargain: he will give her the resources to destroy Jude’s reputation and fortune if she agrees to be his "fake" lover to provoke Jude’s ego.As Sarah transforms from a submissive housewife into a formidable queen of the boardroom, the lines between revenge and desire begin to blur. Jude becomes obsessed with winning back the "property" he lost, while Dominic’s protective streak turns into a possessive hunger. In a world of betrayal, billion-dollar stakes, and lethal secrets, Sarah must decide: Is she playing the game, or is she being played by a man even more dangerous than the one she’s trying to destroy.

The Silver Anniversary
The scent of roasted rosemary chicken and expensive wine filled the penthouse, a scent that usually spelled comfort. Today, it felt like a suffocating shroud. Sarah adjusted the silk ties of her emerald dress, checking her reflection for the tenth time. At twenty eight, she was often told she possessed a "classic" beauty soft features, honey blonde hair, and eyes that held a gentle warmth. That warmth had been dedicated entirely to Jude for five years. "Five years," she whispered, touching the gold band on her finger. "Half a decade of being Mrs. Jude Wright." Jude was the man every woman in the city envied her for. He was the self made CEO of Wright Industries, a man of sharp suits and even sharper intellect. To the world, they were the "Golden Couple." To Sarah, he was her anchor. Or so she thought. The clock on the mantel ticked toward 9:00 PM. The anniversary dinner was growing cold. Jude’s text from three hours ago sat on her screen: Stuck in a board meeting, butterfly. Don’t wait up, but I’ll have a surprise for you when I get home. Love you. Sarah smiled faintly at the nickname. But then, she remembered the velvet box she had found while tidying his drawer that morning. It contained a blue diamond necklace a piece so rare it must have cost a fortune. She hadn't mentioned it, wanting to preserve the surprise. But as the silence of the apartment grew louder, a nagging itch started at the back of her mind. Jude’s "board meetings" had been happening three times a week lately. And the scent of his cologne had changed just slightly to something sweeter, something floral. Don’t be paranoid, Sarah, she scolded herself. He works hard for this life. Unable to sit still, she grabbed her trench coat. She would take the dinner to him. A "perfect wife" would support her hardworking husband, right? She packed the meal into a thermal bag, her heart fluttering with a mix of affection and an inexplicable, cold dread. The drive to the Wright Industries headquarters was a blur of neon lights. The skyscraper stood like a dark monolith against the night sky, only the top floor illuminated. The security guard, used to Sarah’s late night visits, waved her through with a pitying smile. "Working late again, Mrs. Wright?" "You know how he is, Marcus," she replied with a practiced grace. The elevator ride felt like an eternity. When the doors slid open to the executive suite, the lights were dimmed, except for the glow spilling from Jude’s frosted glass office door. Sarah stepped onto the plush carpet, her heels making no sound. She reached for the handle, a playful "Surprise!" forming on her lips. Then, she heard it. A laugh. It wasn't the deep, booming laugh Jude used with his colleagues. It was low, intimate, and breathless. And then came a woman’s voice a voice Sarah knew better than her own. "Jude, stop... what if she finds out?" "Sarah?" Jude’s voice was laced with a chilling disdain she had never heard. "She’s at home playing house, probably waiting for me to bring her some trinket. She’s too dull to suspect a thing. She believes every lie I feed her." Sarah’s breath hitched. She froze, her hand hovering inches from the door. Through the slight gap in the heavy wood, she saw them. Jude was sitting in his leather chair, and draped across his lap was a woman in a crimson dress. Her best friend, and the woman who had stood as her maid of honor: Elena. Jude pulled the blue diamond necklace Sarah’s necklace from his pocket and fastened it around Elena’s neck. He leaned in, kissing the hollow of her throat. "The divorce papers are already drawn up, Elena," Jude whispered against her skin. "I just need her to sign the 'trust management' forms tomorrow. Once she hands over the rights to her father’s estate, she’s useless to me. I’ll toss her out with nothing but the clothes on her back." Elena giggled, her fingers tracing the diamonds. "And then the 'Perfect Marriage' finally ends in tragedy?" "In a masterpiece," Jude corrected. Sarah felt as if the floor had turned into ice. Her heart didn't just break; it shattered into jagged shards that sliced through her lungs. Every kiss, every "I love you," every year of her life had been a transaction. A long con. She backed away, her vision tunneling. She had to get out. She had to CRACK. Her elbow struck a heavy ceramic pedestal in the hallway. A glass vase wobbled and crashed to the floor, the sound echoing like a gunshot in the silent office. The silence from inside the office was instantaneous. "Who’s there?" Jude’s voice barked, no longer loving, but predatory. Sarah turned and bolted toward the emergency stairs, her heart hammering against her ribs. She couldn't be seen. Not yet. If he knew she knew, he’d change his tactics. She reached the stairwell, her breath coming in ragged gasps. She scrambled down the flights, her mind racing. She needed help. She needed a way to fight back. She reached the parking garage, fumbling for her keys, when a dark figure stepped out from behind a concrete pillar, blocking her path to her car. Sarah screamed, but a gloved hand clamped firmly over her mouth. She was pulled back into the shadows, the scent of expensive tobacco and rain surrounding her. "Shh," a deep voice commanded near her ear. It wasn't Jude. It was colder, more dangerous. "If you go out there now, he'll see you. And you aren't ready to face him yet, Sarah." Sarah struggled, her eyes wide with terror, until the man stepped into the dim light of the garage. It was Dominic Thorne. Her husband’s most hated rival the man Jude had warned her was a "heartless monster." Dominic looked down at her, his dark eyes unreadable, but his grip on her arm was like iron. He held up a small, high-tech device that was recording a live feed from Jude’s office. "I’ve been watching him for months," Dominic whispered, his face inches from hers. "But I didn't expect to find his wife's best friend in his lap tonight. Tell me, Sarah... do you want to cry, or do you want to make him bleed?" Before Sarah could answer, her phone vibrated in her pocket. It was a call from Jude. As she stared at the screen, Dominic’s grip tightened. He leaned closer, his voice a low lure. "Don't answer it. Because if you do, I won't tell you the real reason why Jude married you and it’s much worse than just your father’s money." Sarah became confused, she thought of Jude and Elena laughing in that office. The sadness in her chest was slowly being replaced by a hot, searing coal of fury. "What do I have to do?" she asked, her voice finally steady. Dominic leaned in, his breath hot against her ear. "Jude is about to file for divorce and claim you’re mentally unstable to void your inheritance. We need a shield he can’t break through legally or socially. A scandal so big it freezes every move he makes." He paused, his eyes locking onto hers with terrifying intensity. "Tomorrow, when the world asks where you've been, you're going to tell them you're at my house. And you're going to tell them you're pregnant... and that I'm the father." Sarah froze, her heart stopping for a second time that night. "I'm not pregnant. He’ll know the truth eventually." "Eventually doesn't matter," Dominic whispered, his hand tightening slightly on her arm. "We only need the lie to last long enough to strip him of his power. Do you want your father's legacy back, Sarah? Then you need to be the woman Jude is most afraid of. You need to be the woman who betrayed him first." Sarah looked at the diamond ring on her finger the symbol of five years of lies. She slowly twisted it off and let it drop into the oil-stained concrete of the garage. "Okay," she whispered. "Tell me what to do."
