After the rogues vanished into the night, Sienna felt a heaviness settle over her. The rogue Alpha’s words echoed in her mind, stirring a whirlwind of fear and confusion. She turned to the triplets, her heart racing. “What did he mean? What’s in my blood?”
Aiden shifted back into his human form, his expression hard and conflicted. He glanced at Asher and Axel, who looked equally grim, before finally meeting Sienna’s gaze. “There’s something we didn’t tell you,” he began, his voice low. “Something we were trying to protect you from.”
Sienna’s pulse quickened. “What is it?”
Aiden hesitated, but Axel stepped forward, his voice steady. “You’re not just connected to us through the bond, Sienna. You’re… special. There’s something ancient in your bloodline, something that makes you different.”
“Different how?” Sienna asked, her voice shaking.
Asher sighed, running a hand through his hair. “You’re descended from one of the oldest bloodlines in our world. A line that carries immense power. It’s rare, and it’s dangerous. That’s why the rogues want you. They think they can use your power to overthrow us, to take control of the packs.”
Sienna’s legs felt weak beneath her. “But I’m not— I don’t have any powers. I’m just a normal girl.”
Axel shook his head. “Not anymore. Whatever’s inside you, it’s awakening. That’s why we were drawn to you. The bond, it’s stronger because of what you are.”
Sienna’s mind reeled as she tried to process the impossible. “But… why didn’t you tell me? Why keep this from me?”
Aiden’s expression darkened. “We were trying to protect you. The less you knew, the safer you were.”
Sienna stared at them, her heart aching with a mixture of fear and betrayal. “And now? What am I supposed to do with this?”
Axel’s eyes softened. “We’ll figure it out. Together.”
But as the triplets vowed to protect her, Sienna couldn’t shake the feeling that the rogue Alpha’s warning was just the beginning. Something darker, something far more dangerous, was coming for her.
