DESIRE  Standing in the parlour and gazing out through the window at the moon, I folded my arms on my chest and leaned on the wall, my thoughts on the events of the day. Nathan and Jennifer had left only a while ago.  Jennifer had been oddly silent, letting Nathan do all the talking. Normally she was always the number one supporter of Akin but this time she hadn't said a word in his defense.
