DESIRE  My eyes blinked open, my vision a little blurry before everything came into focus. I could feel a mask around my face, pumping air into my lungs. Reaching up, I pulled it off, taking a deep breath in. My throat felt drier than the Sahara, I felt light-headed and my head ached a little. "Look who's woken up," a voice drawled from beside me, turning my gaze there. Jennifer sat in an armchair in the corner, gazing at me with a crooked smile on her face. She looked tired with bags under her eyes. I tried to talk and the extreme dryness in my throat made me cough.
