#TITNC

Collecting my stuff, I sprint out of the classroom with the other two right on my heels. I stop at the girl's toilets, thinking that we have gotten far enough from him and his little 'buddies'. "Wow, that was an intense conversation back there." Char laughs while shaking your head. "Your fast for a human, are you sure you don't have a bit of werewolf in there?" Em asks while poking me in the belly, making me fall over and laugh all over the ground like a complete lunatic. "Na, I'm sure I don't turn into a furry beast on a full moon," I say making us all end up laughing on the ground so hard that I can't breathe for a long time. It would have been hurtful if I was speaking the truth. Because we all know by now, or at least I hope you do, is that werewolves don't only just change on a full moon. They change whenever. It's just that they gotta bigger feelings and the wolf is closer to coming out in that time. "Okay, we should probs get to our next class, see ya second-period Soph," Em says before walking off. To, Idk. But do I care? Ehh, sort of. Char and I, make our way to Mrs Fonte's class. Yay! Note the sarcasm. The walk to English feels like years, I bet even Char thinks so too. Like c'mon, who wants to go to English on a Friday. Definitely not me. With each stride, it takes so much energy. On the 10 steps, me and Char glance at each other, before looking forward. And then glancing at each other. With a huff, a few grunts and not so pleasant words, we kept on walking. One foot in front of the other. Twenty small steps later, I realise we are walking in a sink and are the only ones still in the hallway. Man, I thought, how far is the classroom for Jes- um I mean for Jelly pickles. Yep, definitely Jelly pickles. Even though Jelly isn't meant to start with a capital, I just thought that way would sound cooler. I'm rambling again, aren't I? With another grunt, I finally say something. Only to realize that she is saying something too. "Do you want to skip and go to crack-a-jacks?" I asked, just as Char asked too. "Yeah" I answered. "Yeah" Char answered. Mentally facepalming myself, we laugh together. Well, what do they say, great minds think alike? Huh. We agreed together, only to realize that we have to go around skillfully. Because there are all the other teachers that aren't teaching at the moment, walking around and preparing. For what, I don't know. Glazing at each other, we look on. Turning around the corner is Mrs Higgins. Quickly, I pull Char into the door next to us without thinking. In turn, it's a closet full of sports equipment. Awesome. Looking over, I see Char look dreamily at a soccer ball. See, she is the captain of soccer for our school. Em's Co-Captain. While I was put next in line. No. not because she chooses me. But because they all voted for me. The whole team. I play defence. "I never knew they had this soccer ball, before. Damn, now I just want to take it." Char says reaching out her hand before snatching it away with the other hand. And doing this multiple times before I finally come in. Grabbing her hand, right before it touched the ball, I said. "Stop, remember why were are here again. We need to sort out a plan." I say becoming the voice of reason for once. We talk together, nodding our heads before Char goes and softly opens the door so it doesn't creak. Once we are both out, she slowly pushes it back and we immediately press our backs to the door. We glance at each other before I look to the left and she looks to the right, just over her shoulder. Before glancing back at one another and look the other direction. Nodding our heads in sinke, we carefully sneak down the hall to my right. By the time I get to the next cross over, so it's like a T formation, I look back at Char, to see her on her belly moving like a worm. "Hurry up," I whisper-scream, urging her to catch up. Char then gets into a puppy formation and crawls over to where I'm standing, before getting back up to her full height. "Took you long enough," I replied after she has taken a breath to calm her racing heartbeat. "Na shint, Sherlock." She says with a grasp. We look over to her left before my right, and back again. Deciding to head to my left, because it's a quicker root, we skid over. "You know what would be a cracker right now, some mission Impossible soundtrack playing in the background? " Char says after we get to the next T intersection. "Na, I was thinking more James Bond, with the whole stakeout..." I tell my thoughts to her after we turn right. Nodding my head, I agree with my statement. "No, way. That would be more like Dog the Bounty Hunter type stuff. But you couldn't be Beth, 'cause you're not that big up there. You would have to be..." Char rattled on, having the know-it-all's voice. "You did not just say that. " I nearly snarl out to her. This is so not the point of what were are doing. Coming across another T, we go left not thinking to watch of for some teachers. "Well, what else are we going to talk about while we are jumping classes. Ooh, we should make up a name for this skip." Char suggests nearly giving away our cover when she was about to go left without looking. Pulling her back just in time, I replied with, "How about you don't get us caught. But For your sake, we can call it, #TITNC". "What on Ponkeoy's Earth, does TITNC mean." Char fumbles over next corner braking a glass frame in the process. Stopping in our tacks, we glance around to make sure no one heard. Staying as still as blinking statues can. Footsteps bring me out of my thoughts, but I can't see what direction it's coming from. We are both in open space, and each second we waist, they are getting louder. Instantly my eyes glaze over a certain desk, glancing at Char, we must have the same thought again. With a count down of three, we jump over landing on our Rass, just in time to see multiple pairs of shows reach our eyeliner. Making sure we are covered completely by the desk, we wait until it's gone. Many mutters later, and one teacher saying it must have been a rat after Jake let them out, again, they leave. Then and only then, do we let out a breath that we have been keeping captive for ages? "Oh, now I get it, It stands for Transiliens Is The New Cool." Charlotte lets out after some huffing and puffing. Rubbing her grazed arm she looks up letting out a loud, oh splinters. "Where do you think you're going, young ladies." A voice says, breaking us from our conversation. Our eyes meet each other before both looking up into one angry scowl. We glance ahead because in 6 human size footsteps, is the door leading to our freedom, but know it's too late. She has already seen us.
