Evelyn 'S POV

"Liam, please let's go, you don't want to get into any trouble with them, please come let's go right now," I tried to pull him, but he still stood there stubbornly, making me stunned at his level of stubbornness.

"Did you even hear anything I just said?" I asked him, not wanting to believe that he held me, but still stood there.

"Yes but I'm not going to leave here, I mean we aren't leaving we are staying," he said, making me realize he was ready for their trouble, but I don't want that right now.

"Where the hell is Eric?" He asked her, but she burst out into laughter instead, as I sighed softly, wishing within me that he could just come with me instead of acting all stubborn this way.

"And who the hell dares mention my name that way," I heard Eric's voice, as I finally stepped out, I quickly tried to tell him to stop talking so we could leave before Eric came out, but it was already too late as he was out now.

"Honey this man called you by your name," Mirabel said, as Eric turned to Liam and me, and I could sense fear clamped into him.

"Al..pha Liam," he stuttered in his words, as I realized they knew each other.

"You are back, Alpha, I'm sorry please come in," Eric bowed in response as he hurried to take Liam's stuff from him making me gasp as I couldn't believe what was happening before my eyes right now.

"Yes I'm back with my mate," he said, as he pointed to me, while Eric swallowed hard.

"You are welcome my Luna," he bowed in respect to me, as I stared at him in awe.

We both stepped in, but just then Liam stopped again. "Eric, who is the lady here trying to claim the position of my Luna?" He asked Eric, who started shivering.

"She is nobody Alpha, and I'm sorry for all she said before my arrival," Eric responded to him with trembling limbs, as I wondered what was still going on.

"Eric I'm nobody?" Mirabel asked him, but he shut her mouth with his palm before she could say anything about it, while Liam led me away from there.

We entered his chamber where he went to have his bath and changed something else, and also asked me to do the same, as we both went to have lunch afterward.

"Liam, doesn't that mean you are an Alpha?" I asked him, and he smiled immediately.

"Yes, and this is my Pack," he responded to my question, while I blinked my lashes rapidly, still finding it hard to believe.

"What do you mean?" I asked him, while he took a deep breath before starting.

"I left Eric in charge of my Pack, as he was my beta, so I could go and find my mate, so I'm back now since I have found you," he explained, making me sigh softly as I couldn't still believe my ear.

"So you mean Eric was never the Alpha of this Pack?" I asked him to be sure I heard him correctly the first time.

"Yes, he is only my beta and nothing more," he responded to my question truthfully, making me sign in satisfaction.

"It seems you know Eric so well, and even that unmannered lady," he said, while I started telling him about what they both did to me at the mating ceremony.

How they both took their time to humiliate me, as I recalled every bit of disgrace I passed through at the mating ceremony.

"I'm so sorry about that, I will make him come here right now and apologize to you," he assured me, getting on his feet, but I stopped him before he could think of it.

"Why are you stopping me, let me go, I need to go and do the needful," he told me, but I pleaded with him to sit down first.

"But I want to talk to him," he said and I could see rage burning through him.

"No you are angry so you shouldn't go to him looking this way," I said trying to calm him down, but it wasn't working out.

"I can't sit back here after hearing all of this," he said and with that, he unlocked his hands from mine storming out of the dining room without thinking twice.

After a few minutes, he returns with Eric whom he was holding by the head.

"Now apologize to my mate for this instance," he barked, making me gasp as I never saw this part of him.

Since I met him the previous day, he has always been calm and easygoing, but right now I am seeing the aggressive part of him for the first time.

"I'm so sorry for all I did to you Back at the mating ceremony, please forgive me," he apologized, as his both knees were on the floor, and I could tell he had already been beaten by Liam because his face looked swollen.

"Say it like you mean it?" He yelled, kicking him in his back, as he growled in pain.

"I'm sorry my Luna, I made a big mistake by treating you that way, please forgive me," he pleaded with his both palms placed together, making me sigh softly.

"You are forgiven," I said, and just then my eyes went to the door, and saw Mirabel standing there, immediately she noticed my glances, she quickly turned around and started walking away.

"Thank you so much my Luna, thank you," he bowed as he remained on his knees.

"It's fine, you can go now," I said while he slowly rose to his feet, and started walking away.

"You are no longer going to be my beta from now onwards, to take all your belongings and get the hell out of my house," Liam barked rudely as Eric stopped immediately, and went on his knees pleading with him.

I just stared at him, somehow I couldn't help, but felt pity for him.
